A Fisherman’s Tale

It sounds like Escape Ventures bought another escape company and updated the rooms, however, this room wasn’t tested well. There was a mistake in the final puzzle making it hard to complete the room without help. Overall theme was okay. Definitely not as nice as their rooms in the Orlando location. None of the puzzles were particularly exciting which I have come to expect from this company. Overall I think they need to test the rooms out a few more times. Disappointed with how much we paid for a room that wasn’t quite ready for paying players. Hopefully they work out the kinks and the other rooms are better. I’ll give them a few months before trying another room at this location.

Cute beachy themed room, dude!

This one’s just plain fun. Well balanced, great for anyone of any experience level, and doesn’t overstay its welcome. A Fisherman’s Tale has the right vibes all around from beginning to end. Set design and the buildout were actually quite surprising in just how rustic and detailed the space was, and there is a genuine care and attention to detail in every nook and cranny. You can tell this was a real labor of love and they poured their heart into making the most out of the space they had. The gameplay started a tiny bit confusing, but once the logic clicked, the rest all flowed like water. Every puzzle was super on theme and narratively fun. There are some very cool surprises and puzzles. I can’t really say anything but praises for this one. It’s fun, enjoyable, and perfect for everyone. Unfortunately, we know Escape Goat closes later this month, as will this room along with their others. So if you’re interested and in the area, go sooner than later. It’s worth checking out. I also wanted to give a shoutout to our GM who made this experience extra special by having a keen ear, honoring a joke we were making amongst ourselves in the room and surprising us by playing the Spongebob version of “Drunken Sailor” through the speakers, which was hilariously on theme and totally made our day. You are an absolute all time legend 🏴‍☠️

Another great game by escape goat. We’re so sad this location is closing but glad we got to get another game in. Fun and immersive as always. An easy room but the puzzles were themed and original.

For our long awaited last round at Escape Goat we had a delightful time getting our treasure hunting skills honed. While certainly being the easiest in the Goat lineup it did offer some unique challenges and perspectives to standard puzzles that I really enjoyed! Set was well rounded and had tons of cool knik knacks that made the space feel much like its setting. The only off thing for me was the story and how some things present in the room were tied together. But by no means did that detract from the fun time we had here! If you are looking for a fishy time (not in smell thankfully) then Fisherman’s Tale is a great option :))

The staff are amiable. Each of the stories have been cute & interesting. The decorations were fitting. We had a lovely time. This room is great for a date.

Trust the master crafters at escape goat to turn a tail of a fisherman into a fun, challenging and rewarding escape room story. I really enjoyed the puzzles and design of this room, our party of 3 continually engaged at all times while completing and escaping. Love the staff and rooms at escape Goat, cant wait to see more from them!

Beautifully designed game with gorgeous set design. The storyline was fun and the puzzles all connected really well. All of the details were brilliant. 100% recommend this game if you’re in the area!
