Armoire à Vendre [Wardrobe for Sale]Escaparium - LavalEscape roomIRLThe sets were gorgeous, and the immersion was really intense. Our game master was lovely; in fact, she told us after the game that she’d been stressed out because of all the bugs we’d encountered, and our team was like, “What bugs?” So kudos to her for handling that. I think it’s a matter of taste, but I wasn’t as into the fact that there’s a lot of animation; I feel like it kind of ruins the flow of the game. I also have an issue with rooms where you’re supposed to listen a lot because I tend to hear more sounds than words if there’s a lot of echo, etc., so I had a hard time following the story at several points. It’s still a room I highly recommend—you can tell it was made with passion and love, and it will continue to appeal to a lot of people!
Le Grand Immersia Hotel [The Grand Immersia Hotel]Immersia Escape GamesEscape roomIRLLoved this game and the game master was great! The introduction was really well tought and I loved the overall immersion of the game. Definitely one of my favorites!
L'affaire St-Onge [The St-Onge Case]Immersia Escape GamesEscape roomIRLMy team and I were lucky enough to be one of the first groups to test Immersia’s new room: “The Saint-Onge Case.” What an amazing experience! We L-O-V-E-D it, from start to finish. The set design was incredible; I thought it was great to be able to test a new room and enjoy a brand-new set, especially when it’s so well done. There were several truly original puzzles that I’d never encountered before, and I felt there was something for everyone. The storyline was very well thought out, immersive, and packed with technology. Our game master, who was still in training, was great—funny, helpful, and she immediately got us into the spirit of the game. We even had the chance to meet one of the puzzle designers, who took the time at the end of the game to answer all our questions, take our feedback, and show us how certain mechanisms worked. When the only negative thing you have to say about a room is that a sound was crackling a bit too much, it means the work was really well done lol. You can tell this is a room where a lot of time, love, and teamwork went into it. This room is my first favorite of the year. It’s the kind of game you talk about the whole way home because you loved it so much. I highly recommend this room. A big thank you to the Immersia team for letting us experience this incredible adventure!
