“This is an original ride for Walt Disney World and still holds up today! It is my favorite ride in the park and the memories I’ve had here are the best. It is fun for all ages if you have a kid who gets scared from spooky things they may not want to ride, but otherwise it is an amazing ride!”

“This was one of the best Axe Throwing Experiences we have done. We really enjoy Whoop Axe due to all the extra equipment they allow you to throw, but this place has the theming! This place has not only the theming, but they have the high tech equipment. I would highly recommend this place to multiple people”

“Such a fun, spooky attraction at the Disneyland Resort! Not necessarily “scary,” but this is a dark attraction with dim lighting, but lots to see and enjoy. This is always a classic to ride during the holidays (Halloween, Christmas time) because they will transform this attraction into The Nightmare Before Christmas theme!”

“This was my favorite house this year, which really surprised me because I’m not a massive fan of Terrifier. It was less scary than I thought it would be, but a lot more fun! Each scene was super distinct and memorable, and the attention to detail was immaculate! I always love some good gross-out horror when it’s done with a slightly comedic tone. All of the Arts also really sold their performances.”

“A very enjoyable and detailed year round haunted house. While the animatronics might not boast the latest tech, the overall set design is impressive. The aged aesthetic of the attraction being over 40 years old adds a layer of authenticity to the old haunted mansion theme, creating a genuinely spooky atmosphere. During our visit, the staff was attentive, ensuring a personalized spooky experience. We couldn't help but be entertained by the delighted screams from the group ahead, attracting the monsters our way for double the frights! Overall, The Mysterious Mansion is a thoroughly enjoyable experience for adults seeking a charmingly old-fashioned haunt. It's sure to be a hit with youngsters as well, offering a spooky adventure that won't give them nightmares afterwards.”

“I don’t know if I just got lucky with a really good actor when I walked through, but I got more jump scares on this maze than any of the others. The creepy guys with film reels for a head were particularly freaky and really got in my face and followed me around—it was great!”

“I go down to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios every year (and have been doing that for the last 20+ years) so it's typical difficult for me to fully enjoy more "local" haunted houses. HellsGate is definitely an exception to that! It's a great story with some great decor and actors. It's by far my favorite haunted house I've done outside of Halloween Horror Nights and IMO the best in the Chicagoland area.”

“I love Lake Hickory Haunts! I’ve been to multiple haunted attractions over the years and this is by far my favorite. You can really tell how much time is spent improving and adding on to the attraction during the off season. Their newest sections are highly impressive and I’m excited to go back in the future!”

“I loved this theme of hypnotization. Of all the mazes at Knott’s, this one is the best at telling you a complete story throughout the entire maze. The voice talks to you through the entire maze, which makes perfect sense for the hypnotization theme. There are also some really cool, freaky moments during this maze where they play with your mind. I only wish there were even more mind tricks sprinkled all throughout!”

“This might be my favorite haunt of all time! It’s not at all cohesive, but that’s because it’s basically ten mini haunts! Every time I turned a corner, I had no idea what would come next. It never stoped surprisingly me, and my smile just got wider the further I went in. I kept thinking I was almost at the end, but the maze lasts like seven minutes! That’s crazy long for a theme park haunt!”

“This is by far the best of all the scare zones this year. With the lighting and fog creating the creepy atmosphere you are hesitant to walk through, the scare actors make it full of jump scares when they surprise you.”

“It was a great house! The facade was beautiful and the scares were great. The one thing is the houses are a bit quieter than most HHN houses, maybe cause they’re so close together and don’t want the sound to bleed through?”

“17th door was spooky but not terrifying. The wait was short, we were some of the first people in, and the actors that were outside were very fun and personable. The rooms were all really well done and provided multiple different experiences but nothing that was tap out worthy at least for me. Would highly recommend going and steeping outside of your comfort zone. It was a great experience!”

“This one may not be gory, if that’s what people consider scary, but the intimidating part of the maze is the sheer size of the clowns. I felt towered over and that was scary. The humor takes your guard down to then get you with a jump scare. Such a fun maze. One of my favorites.”

“Very good haunted house, with high quality/budget sets, tons of animatronics, special effects, and a good density of scare actors. Some of them were pretty interactive and fun to banter with. My only minor complaint is that I wish some of the scenes were a bit brighter so that I could appreciate the detailed sets, makeup, and costumes, it felt darker than a lot of other haunts I've been to. Though I guess darkness helps make it scarier and helps the actors hide. It took about 30 min to walk through at a moderate to quick pace. Longer is better but it didn't feel too short. There were a couple of small queue areas between sections to keep groups separated but they had actors there to entertain you. The fast pass was only about $15 more which was worth it. I was there on a Sat night between 8-9pm and there were only 10 or so people ahead of me in the fast pass line but probably 100+ in the regular line. This haunt walks you through some of Mind Trap's escape rooms. If you have not played Mafia Heist and Vampires, the haunt spoils a huge portion of those sets.”

“This maze introduced us to one of Sarah Marshall’s (really Sarah Morgan) sister, Mary Worth (Bloody Mary). The set design was soo good! Each year Knotts keeps setting the bar with their craft. I wish there were more mirrors since we all know what mirrors could do! The lantern fx were not working for the first two weeks.”
