Box One By Neil Patrick Harris

Escape room
Tabletop
Absolutely recommended if you can get your hands on it for a reasonable price. The game is completely resettable, and you can play with more than one person if you want but it's best single playier.
Cabin 13
Escape Manor - Toronto
Escape room
IRL
This was a fun experience and I'd recommend it as an experience moreso than an escape room. The puzzle solving experience isn't much better than most escape rooms, but the atmosphere and live acting are what sets of apart from most.
Where Dark Things Dwell [Outdoor]
Secret City Adventures- Black Creek Pioneer Village
Escape room
IRL
Overall this is a mixed experience. The puzzles are a mixed bag, some are better than others. The biggest disappointment is that the puzzles don't have you do anything in the historic buildings. You just go in grab the puzzle which is placed out in the open and move on. Most of the building is roped off and off limits, so it's not like an escape room in that way. Still not bad for the price when you factor in promo codes. We went when the sun was out, but the atmosphere is probably much better when it's dark out.
Wine Cellar
Escape Manor - Toronto

Possibly the best escape room I've ever done. There was a puzzle that was pre-solved for us which was annoying but other than that the puzzles were very creative and fun. We did the hard mode which wasn't too difficult. Highly recommended.
EXIT: The Game - Kidnapped in Fortune City
Thames & Kosmos
Escape room
Tabletop
One of my favourites in the city. It's far less linear than the typical exit games and makes it feel like an entirely different experience. Great puzzles that match the theme.
The Leopold Trilogy: Episode 2 - White Sleep
50 Clues
Escape room
Tabletop
This series is definitely not for everyone. You play as a child abuser which is intentionally disturbing. I'm not saying they are promoting it by any means, but if you can get passed that the puzzles are interesting. However they're not like typical puzzles where you don't need any special knowledge or skills (e.g. mathematical unit conversion). The hints aren't too helpful for this either, but will show you how to get the solution while also showing you the solution, instead of just giving you the information to figure it out yourself.

Maria Trilogy: Episode 1 - Dead or Alive
50 Clues
Escape room
Tabletop
This series is definitely not for everyone. It's easier to recommend this one over the Maria trilogy because instead of playing as a child abuser you're playing as a police officer to catch them. It's slightly less disturbing but still very much so. It's the same kind of which are often well done. However some are not like typical escape style puzzles and you will need some knowledge or skills (e.g. mathematical unit conversion). The hints aren't too helpful for this either, but will show you how to get the solution while also showing you the solution, instead of just giving you the information to figure it out yourself.
