Treasure IslandBrain Games Escape RoomEscape roomIRLOverall this room was a great experience. With 75 minutes to escape you have plenty of time to get through the room and there are a lot of puzzles to get through. This one is not as linear as the Mad Scientist room that Brain Games Escape Room has meaning that the progression isn’t as straightforward as you think. Looking back I’d do this room with a max of four people, I did it with six.
The Hex RoomCross Roads Escape GamesEscape roomIRLThe Hex Room definitely delivers an excellent experience. I would recommend doing this room with five or six people.
Twenty Ghosts of ChristmasBrain Games Escape RoomEscape roomIRLBrain Games Escape Room is consistently the best place to play escape rooms. I have played all three of their games and all three have exceeded my expectations going into it. If you can, I would play Treasure Island, then Mad Scientist, and then Twenty Ghosts. Once you shop around and play some of the other rooms in the area and then find Brain Games and experience it you will understand. Treasure Island is this places highest rated room, however, this room is takes the cake. This one was perfect for me and my friend to run as a duo.
The Mad Scientist [prev. The Laboratory]Brain Games Escape RoomEscape roomIRLI completed this room with one other person. We were completing the puzzles quite quickly so the GM kept on making the room harder for us by adding more puzzles to get out. The GM even ended up giving us about 10 extra minutes because of the sheer amount of puzzles we wanted to do for two people. Overall an amazing experience, came down to the wire at the end (quite literally).
Prison BreakThe Escape Game - IrvineEscape roomIRLI failed this room with my girlfriend and another random family of five. I’m quite sure if we were by ourselves we would’ve made it out but overall this room was amazing.
Gold RushThe Escape Game - IrvineEscape roomIRLThis was the first escape room that my girlfriend and I made it out of together! The gameplay and immersion was fantastic and we had an awesome time completing this room. The beginning, middle, and end of this room is all great. I can’t wait to go back!
Men In Suits (MIS)Maze Rooms - LAXEscape roomIRLMy friend and I played the “Men in Suits” room and it was a fantastic experience. With 60 minutes to escape you’ll be met with plenty of challenges to cut it close to make it out. I think going in with the intention to escape in 60 minutes doesn’t allow you to fully appreciate how well made this escape room is. The immersion from the GM and the room itself was amazing. I’ll be going back to do the steampunk room with a group when I have a chance. I also appreciated our GM Julian, they were awesome and we got to talk with him for a while about the room we had just escaped and other rooms they had. Can’t wait to go back!
The HeistThe Escape Game - IrvineEscape roomIRLMy girlfriend and I failed this room with quite a few puzzles left to solve. The Heist is definitely this locations hardest room to escape. The combination of things to keep track of and clever technological puzzles made this room extremely difficult.
Inside Area 51Back In Time Escape Rooms - Harbor CityEscape roomIRLI completed this room with three of my friends with 10 minutes to spare and using two hints. If it hadn’t been for the fact that we were told that once you use an item you should get rid of it and place it in a corner by our GM we probably would’ve gotten out at least five minutes faster. The puzzles were not hard to solve and there weren’t that many to solve either. This room should be marked as medium difficulty if not easy.
