    Phenomenal! Set, puzzles, theatrics, all just perfectly executed. What more can I say? It's top tier. Play it! After playing Wardrobe for Sale, Rain Corp, and Voodoo Queen, we decided to make Cathedral our 500th room! It was absolute worthy. The owner came to personally congratulate us on the milestone, and we nerded out with him for a good while. He's as(more?) obsessed as us with escape rooms, and it really shows in his business. We might have come back to Montreal next year just to see what they do next!

    Out of 500+ rooms in 7 countries, this one is definitely top 25, maybe top 10.. maybe top 5. We usually don't care for an emphasis on immersion or storytelling, but Escaparium knows how to do it right. While there was a little too much theatre for our personal preference, it's cool and it's a two hour room so we didn't feel like we were trading puzzles for a show. The characters were also great! The hint system is amazing, and Elliot was AMAZING. I seriously can not imagine someone doing a better job. The set was amazing. Cute and whimsical. Just perfect. The puzzles were varied and fitting and fun. If I had to have a complaint, it would be that you never feel like you can fail. That's not our style but everything else absolutely makes up for it and more. Especially if you know going in to accept this as an experience soak it in. It's worth every penny. Do it.

    My wife and I love fun and cute themes, and this one didn't disappoint! Really clean design, fun puzzles, great staff! Though it's on the easier side(for enthusiasts), it's super fun and that's what really matters. A wonderful room at a wonderful company and I highly recommend it for everyone!

    Excellent room! This was the 5th stranger things room we've done, and definitely the best. We love Pierre(owner) and our GM(I'm sorry man I suck at names..) who is involved in the design as well. Outside the box thinkers, super nice guys. If they had 10 rooms we would have done all of them.

    Good room! First few puzzles were a little ambiguous but not bad. The rest was great. Cool set, satisfying puzzles.

    We've played the original and Monster Mash(Halloween) versions of this room. Both were excellent! You really can't go wrong with Gnome and Raven.

    Cute room, worth playing, but not without it's flaws. Some of the puzzles I thought were a little bit of a stretch, but nothing extreme. We really struggled with one puzzle in particular because we don't speak french. It's still a minor thing but it really tripped us up for some reason. While we were really just not at the top of our game that day, I do somewhat blame the stretches, slowness of the hint system, the power outage we experienced(not their fault) and the one puzzle for our failure. All minor but really messed up the pace and flow for us. This place has the single worst hint system I've seen after 500 rooms (except maybe one where there was a talking parrot) of all of the ways to cut corners, I really don't get why two way room audio isn't everywhere. And their way isn't a thematic choice either. And because we speak english it was even worse.. WAY worse.

    This game was recently overhauled, and this review applies to the newer version. Excellent! In my opinion the difficulty is perfect; providing enough of a challenge for enthusiasts with some outside the box thinking, but should be accessible to newer players as well! The owners are awesome, and I'm a big fan of what their doing her! They gave us a sneak peak at the upcoming room, and I have no doubt it will be as good or better than that their current offering. We'll be back!

    Great room! Interesting puzzles, good flow, outside the box thinking. Really appreciate Pierre's creativity. Definitely recommend this and Missing, and I'd fully expect any room he's involved in to be great.

    We really didn't enjoy this room. Great set that deserves way better. I understand that they bought this from another local place that shut down so I assume Mor Drakkar and Wicca, which they're more known for, are better. Unfortunately this experience made us doubt the location and prioritize other places first and we never made it back to try those. The flow was terrible, many of the puzzles were a stretch. The main complaint was a puzzle with a bunch of different ways to interpret it. We spent a while trying a bunch of solutions, then we uncovered that we were missing a piece, which didn't help that problem so we went on trying the different solutions again. It took way too long. We also had a prop that didn't work the first time I messed with it and would have revealed something that would have saved us a lot of time. Another prop, I'm pretty sure there was no reason or explanation of why we were supposed to do what we did with it, and only did it because of a hint. Worst hint system we've seen after 500 rooms. The sets of these rooms aren't cheap and it would not be difficult to put a microphone in there. It's extra bad if you don't speak french.
