Timeliner: Train Through Time
The Escape Game - Lone Tree
Escape room
IRL
This room had solid puzzles as usual for TEG. I actually liked this set a lot even with it being a smaller room than some of their other rooms like Playground. The story made sense and the on-ramping gives players a clear goal for what you need to accomplish. One thing that I particularly liked about this room is that you still have to use the train to travel and solve puzzles even after you venture other places.

This room is a must do in the area. The atmosphere was perfected in every part of the room. Puzzles were really well made and fair solves. Tech is very high end and unique compared to most rooms. Definitely worth the money. The owners were super nice and fun to talk to. Will absolutely be back for their next experience!

This room was such a treat to play. Lots of puzzles for those who don’t mind splitting up on things. The flow was perfect for us. The scenery was very well done for being in an office space. I highly recommend this room to anyone in Colorado.
The Cabin 2.0
New Mexico Escape Room - McLeod Location

I loved this room, lots of scares ranging from a little startling to decently scary. The combination of all the scares makes it pretty scary. I also think that the puzzles in this room were way better than the rest of the rooms here, very solid and fair solves. If you’re into scary rooms you’ll love this one.
Blackwell Manor
New Mexico Escape Room - McLeod Location

If you want to be immersed in a haunted mansion that is incredibly well made and also has a great story, definitely play this room. The set: To start, the set with this room is phenomenal, you get all the parts to a haunted mansion. Everything inside immediately immerses you. This is top notch set production. The story: With this room, I was absolutely blown away by how well the designers managed to tell the story to the audience. You get a front row seat to see and feel how the family that once was in this house lived and interacted. Your sight, smell, hearing, and touch will all be encapsulated which furthermore makes the story be much more compelling and memorable. The Puzzles: I enjoyed quite a few of the puzzles in this room. A lot of the puzzles are on the more interactive side but it fits the room really well. This all goes with saying that one puzzle in the later part of the room was not very enjoyable to solve. I will say this room is not about the puzzles though.

This is a room built for all kinds of people, everyone can enjoy this room. Very puzzle focused room with added humor throughout. Even though it takes place in a small space it is highly immersive and there are quite a few reveals and surprises that come unexpected to give you some wow factor. If in the area definitely stop and play the games here.

Game was alright, I liked the set a lot but was not a big fan of the puzzles. The ending wasn’t great imo it seemed like they ran out of money, imagination, or space.

I enjoyed the set and special effects in this room. If you value those things it is definitely worth playing.
Amnesia
Puzzle Effect - Denver
Escape room
IRL
Amnesia exceeded my expectations with its split-start concept and non-linear progression, it was quite a unique and engaging challenge. The well-designed puzzles allowed us to split up and solve tasks independently, with a few requiring teamwork through a unique communication barrier. This room was a standout to me. Definitely one of the best split-start rooms I have done. Highly recommended!
Dark Heart of the Hotel - Chapter 2
303 Escape - Denver Escape Room
Escape room
IRL
I highly recommend Chapter 1 for a great experience. The puzzles are well-crafted and fitting to the story, the scenery is next level, and it is just fun to experience. However, Chapter 2 falls short in several major areas. One puzzle near the beginning seemed broken, costing us 5-8 minutes trying to get the correct code to trigger a mechanism. Additionally, some puzzles are nearly identical to those in Chapter 1, and overall, the puzzles don’t fit the story as well and lack the innovation seen in newer rooms. It feels like the creators poured their heart and soul into the first room but struggled to continue the story effectively in the second room with the available space and while trying to differentiate it from the first. A few tweaks to the props and cluing could significantly improve the playing experience. Even with the dissatisfaction with this experience, there is much respect to be given to the creators for the uniqueness of Chapter 1.
