Bombshell

Theming and story was well executed, but the too many “puzzles” were “time-wasting activities” and not really puzzles. If you want puzzles that make you think, this may not be the room for you. If your group wants good theming and plenty of activities for multiple people to work on then this may be the room for you.

Another good room design, but too difficult for 2 people. This room has you doing some physical things, so that made it a bit difficult. There’s one game/puzzle in here that is almost too difficult to complete. They probably need to rethink that one. But we liked the atmosphere and the story was interesting. Too much time is spent in the first room trying to get to the next. There was a really cool feature in the middle. That’s all I will say. :-)

Solid theme and set. All the details played into the story or the puzzles in a rewarding way. We got very stuck at one point but frankly it was a user error, in hindsight there were enough clues in the set design to tell us what to do next. Definitely some harder puzzles in the latter portion of the room. Doable with 2 people.

We felt this room was very creative, excellent effects, and sufficiently difficult puzzles, and it was better than Rattlesnake Bend. One thing only had half the effects triggered till we repeated the action 3 times which was annoying. We actually liked the arcade puzzles and found them fine, and liked the phone system because they could proactively tell us we needed a hint and we could ignore if we chose. They were fine taking our picture as well as proactive with hints, and I felt the effects add to the game and could be skipped for speed demons.

This was a hard one to get started but once you do it’s so much fun! It quickly became one of our faves!! Don’t skip the part they say you can kapish?

This one didn't seem that exciting from the outset to me, but it had very cool puzzles with a lot of variety and some fun surprises. I really enjoyed it!

SO immersive! This room had an incredible story and the effects were amazing!! The puzzles weren’t too difficult, but the experience was a TON of fun!

I enjoyed the set and special effects in this room. If you value those things it is definitely worth playing.

Bombshell is one of my favourite games in New Mexico. The use of sets, lighting, and sound really immerses you in the story of the mafia family. The use of technology in one scene of the game really adds to the experience. There are also a very good mix of puzzle types in this game to activate all different parts of your brain. My group really enjoyed the game and wish it was a bit longer because we felt it ended abruptly.
