Captain Spoopy Bones and the Magnificent Quest For Some Other Pirate's Treasure!Doldrick's Escape RoomEscape roomIRLLoved loved loved. I had already been to the b&w train room; this was my second and I loved it just as much. Looking forward to trying another one.
The Nightshadow’s Shroud - CLOSEDWorlds Away EscapeEscape roomIRLIt was on the simpler side, without much to set it apart from other higher end games we’ve been to, but I still enjoyed the spooky atmosphere. The game was a little linear but not overtly or in a way that was boring, and while it wasn’t crazy hard it still took some brain power to get through the puzzles. Honestly, it’s about the level of difficulty we were looking for as a 2 person duo on vacay. Afterwards the game master said that the other room, the cabin, was his favorite, but we didn’t have time to stay and play another.
Possessed PuppeteerCooperstown Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLMy husband and I are veteran escape room attendees, but wanted to take our friend who had only done the unlock escape card rooms but never in real life. This ended up being a perfect first go for her and was fun but easy for us. The room is only a 45 minute room and we got out with 8+ minutes to spare. All three of us came at it from a different perspective and I definitely feel like having all three perspectives is what helped us get out so quickly. I liked the feel of the small room, and how cluttered it was with props- if you’re going to have a single room escape I feel like it needs that visual clutter to be fun. It wasn’t overly complicated but we still enjoyed it. They are still building out their operation (we peeked inside the Freaki Tiki room) and I would give one of the new rooms a try.
