An amazing immersive experience, compendium consistently has a high standard of theming and gameplay, can’t wait to come back!

Scares were amazing, a mixture of jumpscares and hiding throughout made it a really interactive and immersive game! We loved every minute, and the room is very cleverly designed and laid out!
North Pole Postal Panic - CLOSEDEscapable - The Ridings Shopping CentreEscape roomIRLA refreshing take on the Christmas collector style room where your progress in the main room collecting parcels gives you more time at the end to collect stardust! The room was themed up to a good festive standard and even had a choice of soundtrack! Hosting was excellent, we didn’t use any hints however when having difficulty with a directional lock our host was quick to jump in and say we should try again as the code sounded correct! We really had such a fun festive time playing this room, highly recommended!
Turd Raiders and the Lost Golden PlungerCompendium Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLAnother excellent room from compendium, loads and loads to do with a very unique way of submitting answers! We loved the finale of the room too, a real chaotic finish! The room is really well themed and the puzzles are all nicely signposted and related, we will return again to play their other rooms!

As always puzzles were well signposted and as always there were plenty of them to fill the full hour! Really really cannot recommend enough, we are sad that this is our final room here but hope there will be more in future!
Eye of the Sun GodEscape Hunt - SheffieldEscape roomIRLWas debating leaving a review, however our experience here was not great and needs to be made known. The positive: the room is pretty well themed, the staff are very nice and friendly! The negative: Entire final room was broken, parts were not properly reset and closed. Our hosts didn’t realise even after we informed them of this, we were clearly not being watched throughout. Took 3 mins to get hosts attention. This game was short, even if it had all been working as a team of two we would have finished with 20+ minutes to spare. Very expensive, for a team of two £30 per person we expect a very high standard comparable to some of the UKs highest TERPECCA rated rooms, take Macclesfields escape quest which has similar pricing but is worth every penny unlike here. It took over a month and 3 attempts to receive any reply from the company who did eventually refund but claimed to have not received the first two attempts despite being given a managers email by the hosts and using the general enquiries email on the website. We got the sense that as this is a chain the attention to detail and care is not the same as it would be in locally owned rooms.

Henry Fortune's House of IllusionEscape Quest United KingdomEscape roomIRLEscape quest and it’s wonderful chapel street are always a delight to return to but we have to say this game out of the four we have played here so far really stood out! Henry fortune is quite a character and we felt an added tension and fun factor to this game compared to others, it was really amazing! Puzzles wise this is very similar to the other games here, an initial quest followed by lots and lots of puzzles to accumulate a score! I really can not recommend this one enough!
The Great Henderson's HeistCryptology - SheffieldEscape roomIRLIf I had to sum this up in one word I’d go with: FUN The room was well decorated and had lots of Sheffield references packed into it, many of the puzzles required a good bit of teamwork and were really fun! Our hosts in character briefing was absolutely hilarious, they really went the extra mile with it! And hosting throughout was perfect, just getting a couple of little nudges when needed! Unfortunately I can’t help but feel like there wasn’t quite enough to do here, we finished with over 15 minutes to go as an experienced team of two. This doesn’t take away from what is an incredibly fun experience but compared to cryptology’s other games it felt a little bit emptier!
The Great LoudiniEscapable - Thornes Lane WharfEscape roomIRLWhere to even start, this is possibly one of the best escape room experiences we have ever done!!! The blend of live magic and puzzles is a truly an amazing experience, without spoiling anything there are moments where the magic ties into the puzzles which gives a real wow factor!! All the puzzles were fun and well signposted, the difficulty came from the puzzles themselves rather than trying to find where to go or what to do next. And of course Tom the magician was amazing, he was in character from the very start and maintained it throughout the game, we had some truly amazing moments of fun interaction and several big WOW moments as the magic was performed!

We had been following the construction of this one and it really was amazing, such a big variety of puzzles with lots of cool moments accompanied by music, lighting and more! That being said there was a big difference between the two halves, the first we felt was lacking in signposting while the second half was everything you’d want from a collector style room. Overall well worth playing but not without a few small faults.
MafiaEnigma Live Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLA good room that was better themed than we expected, plus an incredible soundtrack! The game had a real good flow to it up until a certain point! We encountered an issue with one of the locks, we tried the correct combination multiple times each with it not opening leading to us thinking we were wrong. Thankfully hosts were excellent and guided us back to the lock and now knowing for certain it was correct we played about with it and it opened! Will definitely be back for the last two rooms we have left here!
Mr Copplestone's Curiosity ShoppeEscape Quest United KingdomEscape roomIRLFor a while now we have found that we enjoy rooms that are puzzle focused with a fun storyline and this room is an example of that at its best. Part of what makes this an amazing experience is it’s simplicity, there’s no heavy tech and most things use some kind of padlock, we were truly in our element! The signposting is excellent, we didn’t for a minute have to wonder what went where, this allowed us to focus on the puzzles which were all logical, fun and had no “logic leaps” to get to the answer. And that is without even mentioning the set/theming, it’s amazing! Chapelgate has been done to a really high standard, we were amazed when the door opened and we stepped through onto the street! The shop interiors (depending on which game you do here you can visit different shops I believe!) were all incredible and lined with so many puzzles! And of course the hosting was exceptional, all this made this a truly amazing escape room and possibly our new favourite! We can’t wait to come back when the game next rotates round!

Once you get into the main area there is plenty to do, it’s a very non-linear game that has some structure still. Puzzles were clever and didn’t have any leaps in logic etc, very enjoyable! Hosting was excellent and Owly the owl delivered clues when we needed them! Another amazing break escape room!
OrbitalBreak Escape Nottingham - Market StreetEscape roomIRLWhere to even start! An amazing experience from start to finish and definitely a contender for the best room in Nottingham! Puzzle wise everything is nicely signposted, the enjoyment and difficulty in this room actually comes from solving the puzzles. As a team of two we did find there was a lot to do, but in this kind of room and with our host being brilliant we managed to complete it all with a few minutes to go! Set wise the room looks incredible, truly setting the bar high! We can’t wait to come back for the arcade room when it opens!
ChronosEscapologic - NottinghamEscape roomIRLSo first of all the set itself is very similar to curio, I would personally like to see a bit more variety in the games offered, but the set is of a very high quality and it does fit the Victorian style mentioned by the story here! This room was really cool, the mode of transport of the orbs was really fun and the puzzle design was very cool! But ultimately we thought the room lacked signposting, many times we found ourselves unclear where to go next! And with a certain directional puzzle near the end there was no indication what the order of those directions should be and the images around that puzzle served as red herrings. With just a few tweaks this could be an amazing room but as is there were too many leaps in logic. What saved this room for us was our host, the lack of signposting was made up for with hints suggesting loosely where we should be looking next!
ContraptionEscapologic - NottinghamEscape roomIRLA beautifully decorated charming room, with the perfect old worldly soundtrack playing throughout! Escapologic have yet again created an immersive and fun experience! We did find however that the gameplay was very linear, which as a team of two was not much of an issue but in larger groups it would mean people are stood around with nothing to do! Despite this the room flowed well and we had a great time solving some clever puzzles we hadn’t seen before! Our GM Dan was excellent and our game went brilliantly!
