The GM was amazing and really added to the experience. The set was great/big and varied, and most of the puzzles were really inventive and ones I hadn’t seen before. I scare really easily so generally avoid scary rooms, but this one was the just the right level of spooky. If you’re in Porto - do this room!!
The Secret of the Serpent SanctumFind & SeekEscape roomIRLI was lucky to do this room on its opening day. I did the room with just one other person and there were A LOT of puzzles to complete, which we loved. The staff gave us quite a bit of very needed extra time (since it was opening day). If we had paced ourselves better or come with a bigger group, we may have been able to complete it in an hour but it would’ve been challenging still. The set design was awesome and everything worked seamlessly. The staff was amazing - super helpful and excited to show us the room. The other 2 rooms at Find & Seek have been my top 2 in all of Great Vancouver and the Secret of the Serpent Sanctum is right up there as well, making Find & Seek’s rooms now my top 3 rooms in Vancouver. If you love the company’s other rooms - you’ll love this one too! Just be ready for tons of puzzles (which is good thing!).
Death NoteTrapped - SurreyEscape roomIRLThe room was very difficult for 2 people (so difficult it made it less fun), and might be easier with 3 or 4, but the puzzles were unique and the storyline was great/also unique.
The Final ProcedureMr.J Escape ClubEscape roomIRLThere are so many glowing google reviews of this room that I worried they may not be real. If you are wondering the same - I’m here to tell you that the 5 stars are all well deserved! This room is different than any I’ve ever done and the GM explained that it is a Chinese-style room. It really was like watching a movie, with scenes playing out in front of you. The space is small - but they’ve done a great job of making it feel big! The room isn’t really about the puzzles, but there were some fun challenges. The set design, effects, and acting are great. I spook easily, and it definitely was scary/got my heart racing, but I felt safe the whole time which helped! I would 100% recommend this room. If you are a scaredy-cat like me, id recommend going with 3+ others. I can’t wait to see what Mr. J’s puts together next! Greater Vancouver is lucky to have them.
