The DigEscape the Room - RittenhouseEscape roomIRLTLDR: Awful, avoid. Hoooo boy… this was a rooough one. Arrived on time to no one there, no one answering the phone. Gamemasters shows up 15 minutes after our start time surprised to see anyone because they didn’t check the bookings. Given the brief spiel before being led to the room, wherein the timer was already going with 5 minutes down. At no point did we have any idea what we were supposed to be doing. Every puzzle was either poorly or just not clued. The first obvious puzzle you solve is not used until the end of the room. If the room wasn’t already terrible, the game master was openly antagonistic. She at point said “I’m looking at the puzzle you need to solve right now, it’s definitely in the room.” That was a hint on what to work on next. We had 3 rooms open to us… Absolutely no flow to puzzles, no rhyme or reason to the things you do. Just abysmal puzzle design. Very hostile feeling, designer vs player architecture. Strongly do not recommend for anyone but the most masochistic puzzlers. If you want to feel like and be treated like a dummy dumb dumb for not knowing the designers intent, have at it.
Western Bank HeistEscape the Room - RittenhouseEscape roomIRLDid this room after The Dig. While it was a better designed room there is a single dexterity puzzle that is intentionally designed to fail players. You easily could waste your entire hour on it and we were told it is that way purposefully. “50 percent of our teams finish it, and 50 percent don’t” is literally what we were told. After we completed the room, we were told that even a literal baby had completed it. It was actually pretty funny how openly antagonistic the gamemasters were. Haha, this place is awful.
Dragon CastleUltimate Xscape RoomsEscape roomIRLGenuinely enjoyed this room. Almost everything was very well clued, nothing required any huge logical leaps or cypher knowledge or math skills. Honestly a great beginner room, played with two others as their first game and it was very easy for them to get into the swing of things with very little need to nudge them toward solutions. Nothing special, no really unique mechanics or design, very bland room, but still a solid experience. Also, everything worked, which is always nice.
Conundrum MuseumBoxarooEscape roomIRLWell executed heist room. Just be mindful that while possible to complete with 2 people, a third or even fourth would be ideal.
Mystery of the Magician's StudyBoxarooEscape roomIRLThis room should just be scrapped and replaced. A severe step down in quality compared to the other two rooms. Skip.
The Brain Experiment [prev. The Institute]Trapology BostonEscape roomIRLThe intro was promising, but quickly turned into a bunch of busywork logic puzzles. The theme alone couldn’t carry the room.

The Wizard's SecretProject EscapeEscape roomIRLNeeds to be closed and renovated. Could be a decent room if everything worked as intended, but no one should play it as is. Multiple puzzles were disabled and left as “red herrings” which are bad design in general but made worse when they are obvious puzzle components that just don’t work anymore. Also our game master was also kind of rude. One of the worst rooms we’ve done.
The Galactic War: The Invasion Of The XarnaiEncrypted Escape - West ReadingEscape roomIRLReally well themed room with some good puzzling, be mindful that it is very linear.
