A Golden AcquisitionArcadia Adventures Escape RoomEscape roomIRLDecent game, but very reliant and seek and fine to make progress. One missing clue can stall all progress. There was a nice variety of puzzles and a nicely themed room.
Baker Street MysteryIncognito Escape Room - BridgefootEscape roomIRLThe room theming was nice for the story, though the story felt a bit disjointed. We've done other Sherlock rooms and this one didn't quite hit the mark in the same way. Despite that the puzzles were still fun and presented a decent challenge. I will say that the room is overpriced. At 45 per person (2 person team), I was expecting more.
Blackbeard's TreasurePuzzle Room RenoEscape roomIRLThe theming was nice and the puzzles were mostly working / fun. When we finished we were greeted by an empty lobby and awkwardly started getting our stuff. A staff member came out as we were about to leave and congratulated us on having the monthly record time and offered to take pictures.
Blood of the OriginalKeystone Escape GamesEscape roomIRLThe theming is nice, the puzzles have a nice mix in terms of challenge level. I did this once with an experienced group and we blazed through it. I decided to go to this room again for a bachelorette party since the bride loves these experiences, the rooms are spacious, and there's enough to do for larger groups. Many of the group had never done an escape room before and they loved it. After the room was finished, we still had some time before the next group and the GM offered to get a bunch of photos for the party.
Borderlands: Tannis's LabRed Door Escape Room - Las VegasEscape roomIRLThe room theming is amazing and the art is on point. They worked with gearbox and the original voice actors and it really shows in the level of detail. This room is fun and is, and perfect for a Borderlands fan. I would say some of the puzzles were not super clear on if they had been completed or if there was still more to do, so it would have been nice to have a bit more obvious indicators.
Camp Ruby Lake: The Blood MoonDeadline Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLWe played both Camp Ruby Lake stories and Blood Moon was far more enjoyable than Lady of the Lake. There was a good mix of puzzles and I felt the story was more cohesive than the other game. The puzzles were also well incorporated into the theming. We did run into a malfunction (a key dropped before it should have). The GM indicated this happens pretty frequently so they definitely need to rework that mechanism.
Camp Ruby Lake: The Lady of the LakeDeadline Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLThe room is themed well and has a good atmosphere. However, the gameplay and story left a bit to be desired. We played lady of the lake and it is very story driven - and let's just say there were large leaps in the story that left it feeling unsatisfying. Many of the puzzles felt disjointed and this being a two-in-one room did not help as we spent a fair bit of time determining if a lock actually belonged to our game. Some of the high tech puzzles did not readily respond and there were already signs of damage to some items despite this being the newest room. On the plus side, there were some puzzles we haven't encountered in other rooms, so that was fun. The GM was also clearly attentive to our game and was pleasant during the visit. This game does not live up then the quality of the other rooms at this location.
CommandeeredThe ImmersiumEscape roomIRLThe theming is great, and the set is amazing. The puzzles were overall pretty simple. The biggest downside is the price -$150 minimum, there are better rooms in the area for less.
cQ OrigenesclueQuestEscape roomIRLThe room itself has interesting theming and a good variety of puzzles. However our visit was anything but a good experience. The GM was clearly attentive but was overly quick to jump in with hints even though we had not asked and was quite intrusive. When we got towards the end of the game we were missing a required piece which prompted the GM to say there had been some "sabotage" and he would help us out. We are guessing a piece was missed when setting up the room, they did not have a spare, and any overrides did not work, as he came back and indicated there were more significant issues, paused our time and then switched us to their other CQOrigenes room. They had set this room to more or less match what we had already completed and we continued where we left off. However, on the final puzzle, this room also failed and we were told "I have permission to (initiate final sequence)" and we were met by the GM who have us a recap of what should have happened and he thanked us for our patience. We requested a partial refund and he asked for a manager to assist. The manager was apparently not authorized to assist with our request and told us to contact customer service and detail the issue to "maybe" get a refund. This was rather annoying as they knew full well both of their rooms failed but still expected us to explain what went wrong. The manager also kept saying that "this room is high tech" as if that was a valid reason for both to fail and completely ruin the experience we paid for.
Dead SilenceDeadline Escape RoomsEscape roomIRLThe room is creepy and definitely meant for an older audience. The set is well themed, the puzzles were fun while sticking to the theme. We did it with a larger group, which was a bit cramped until we opened up another area. We were able to accidentally bypass a few puzzles by just trying things in line with common use /sense.
