SurviveRed Door Escape Room - Las VegasEscape roomIRLA nice post apocalyptic theme, with the added element of needing to be quiet. The theming is done well but the room is a bit small. Definitely better for small groups. Very mechanical lock heavy, but there was a nice variety of puzzles.
Borderlands: Tannis's LabRed Door Escape Room - Las VegasEscape roomIRLThe room theming is amazing and the art is on point. They worked with gearbox and the original voice actors and it really shows in the level of detail. This room is fun and is, and perfect for a Borderlands fan. I would say some of the puzzles were not super clear on if they had been completed or if there was still more to do, so it would have been nice to have a bit more obvious indicators.
cQ OrigenesclueQuestEscape roomIRLThe room itself has interesting theming and a good variety of puzzles. However our visit was anything but a good experience. The GM was clearly attentive but was overly quick to jump in with hints even though we had not asked and was quite intrusive. When we got towards the end of the game we were missing a required piece which prompted the GM to say there had been some "sabotage" and he would help us out. We are guessing a piece was missed when setting up the room, they did not have a spare, and any overrides did not work, as he came back and indicated there were more significant issues, paused our time and then switched us to their other CQOrigenes room. They had set this room to more or less match what we had already completed and we continued where we left off. However, on the final puzzle, this room also failed and we were told "I have permission to (initiate final sequence)" and we were met by the GM who have us a recap of what should have happened and he thanked us for our patience. We requested a partial refund and he asked for a manager to assist. The manager was apparently not authorized to assist with our request and told us to contact customer service and detail the issue to "maybe" get a refund. This was rather annoying as they knew full well both of their rooms failed but still expected us to explain what went wrong. The manager also kept saying that "this room is high tech" as if that was a valid reason for both to fail and completely ruin the experience we paid for.
The Battle for BritainEscape PlanEscape roomIRLA very good puzzle room with nice theming. There were some nice elements that were crafted for the room that made it unique.
The Bank HeistEscape Stirling - MurrayEscape roomIRLNot an escape room but a very good puzzle room, where the aim is to get as much money as possible. The theme was fitting and the puzzles had a good range of difficulty.
The CabinEscape Stirling - MurrayEscape roomIRLThis room had a nice mix of puzzles with a good level of difficulty. The theming was a bit low quality in spots, but still fit the theme.
Witchcraft & WizardryEscape Stirling - MurrayEscape roomIRLThis room was quite easy, but had many fun puzzles with a combo of mechanical and high tech. The theming was also spot on and very detailed.
Radio NowhereCase Closed EdinburghEscape roomIRLLess of an escape room and more of a puzzle room that is fully focused on experiencing the story. Very fun, non-linear and not lock focused.
NosferatuEscape Reality - EdinburghEscape roomIRLThe room is pretty linear and doesn't have very robust theming (simple, older style of game), but it still had a nice mix of puzzles.
RitualEscape Reality - EdinburghEscape roomIRLThe room has great theming and a good story, especially with the scene setting at the beginning. There was a nice variety of puzzles and some unique elements
