This isn't the kind of room where you "escape"... this is an interactive story with some puzzle elements. It's all about production design and set design... and acting. The story is told mostly through audio, though you also have to figure out a few challenges here and there to get to the whole story. Without giving too much away, by the time we were done, my whole family was in tears with how beautiful this experience is. By far one of our favorite "escape room" experiences ever. Completely immersive, very interactive, very beautiful.

This room is incredible! It takes an exact number of players because everyone is blindfolded and led into separate rooms at the beginning... and you have to work together to get out. Each player has their own "role" and their own challenges. And each player has their own box to solve. If everyone solves their boxes, AND the group gets out in time... then you survive! But only a small percentage of groups actually survive completely. We went in with 5 players, which is the minimum you'd want. I think they can put more than one player in each room, but if you're with an experienced group, you don't need more than 1. It was my friend's first game ever, and she did great! The rest of the family supported her through it... we're very experienced.

What a throwback this room was! It's almost like the place was frozen in time in 1985. ...actually, I think that's part of the plot for this room! lol! It was incredibly interactive. Our family is really good at rooms, so some of the things came second-nature to us. Before the timer even starts we're already assessing our surroundings and trying to figure out how to move the things we need to move around. This one was fun, though--a full apartment to play with. The bedroom had really fun games that you got to be a kid again. The ENDING! Oh, man. No spoilers, but I really didn't see that one coming!!

This room is absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere starts the moment you arrive, before you even step into the lobby. There are live actors which help usher you through the experience--I came into this part blind! I didn't realize they would be with us the whole way through! They were absolutely FANTASTIC. It's definitely on the creepy side, but I've seen worse! There was a lot going on so parts of the story were a little challenging to follow, but the puzzles were great.

This one is Chapter 1 of the story. This first chapter is more typical escape room faire. It sets up the story that you'll be following for chapters 2 and 3 as well. I highly recommend these rooms to anyone who likes escape rooms and/or interactive storytelling. We had a long conversation with the designer about these rooms and what he wants to do with them. It's absolutely fascinating. The gameplay was great, the set design was great. What really excites me about these rooms, though, is what he wants to do with them in the long run. He wants to turn the whole complex into an interactive story/immersive experience. I think something like that would be absolutely amazing. While you're waiting for your time to go into the next chapter room, you can go to the Boba shop or interact with the actors there--like a cross between a renaissance faire and an interactive experience at Comic Con. Your game will change depending on the choices that you make in it. Are you going to fight to save certain characters, or let them die? What pieces are you going to hang onto, and which pieces are you going to leave behind? How will you interact with the actors in the game? All of these things will affect how your character is treated, and what your storyline is like. I just wish I could go through it again.

This one is Chapter 2 of the story. If you haven't done "Occam's Apartment" yet, you definitely want to (have to?) do that one first. Otherwise, you won't understand the story. I highly recommend these rooms to anyone who likes escape rooms and/or interactive storytelling. We had a long conversation with the designer about these rooms and what he wants to do with them. While you're waiting for your time to go into the next chapter room, you can go to the Boba shop or interact with the actors there--like a cross between a renaissance faire and an interactive experience at Comic Con. That being said, this is probably my least favorite of the 3 rooms. I found some of the puzzles to be quite easy. Though some of it really fit into the story--and your place in the story. You make choices to personalize your experience. Are you going to be a good guy or a bad guy? A lot of that falls into place during this experience. I just wish I could go through it again.
