Only Murdere in the Building
The Escape Game - New York
Escape room
IRL
We love the show and had to do this room when we were in NYC. It is worth the visit for the easter eggs and immersion into the mystery. The puzzles were fun but nothing too mind boggling or new. Do this room if you love the show.
Echoes at Murder Heights

Nothing but good things to say about this room! Very immersive and spooky with some jump scares. Puzzles were logical and made sense- not anything new and crazy but solid variations of ones we’ve seen before. Would definitely recommend if in the area or even a drive away.

This was just a good fun time! We did as a group of 2 and were told here’s be a lot for us to do and boy were we excited to do it all! The puzzles aren’t mind bending or new and earth shattering but were so appropriate for the theme, logical, and had us saying this is cool multiple times. We love a room where you think “this is a stupid silly idea, but I’m gonna try it anyway” and it worked! Quite non-linear at the beginning so there’s something for everyone to do.If you want to laugh and enjoy your childhood again for an hour, don’t hesitate!
Playground
The Escape Game - Tampa
Escape room
IRL
We’ve been wanting to do this room for a long time but lack of cost-effective private rooms for 2 people have made it more of a wish. Our day was made though as we happened to walk in on this new location to check it out and there was a free room that was open! Playground definitely lives up to the hype!! So much nostalgia from elementary school and the immersion is impressive. They even have cubbies for you to keep your things 😍 The puzzles were great- only 2 locks throughout the entire game. So many different types, not too difficult, but all so on theme. You had to pass your classes and all the puzzles were class relevant- ie for math class you had to solve math puzzles, for PE you had to do something physical, English was a word puzzle, etc. you got to see your report progress on the wall which was a fun touch. There were surprises in each new room and it really felt like you were on a playground. The GM and manager were so enthusiastic and encouraging. Overall a great game, great location, great people. Thank you for helping us check off something on our bucket list 🥰
Special Ops: Mysterious Market
The Escape Game
Escape room

Overall, a really fun room. It was a traditional spy theme with a unique take of being on location in a market. There were some twists along the way. Game flow was very linear. There were no times where we were wondering what we were missing or what the next steps were as it flowed very well. Immersion was great.the game was a little easier than anticipated based on reviews. We were comfortably able to finish it with 10 minutes left and two people, though we did get lucky in one of our decisions.
Philosopher's Stone
Game Over Escape Rooms - Tampa
Escape room

The magic theme is one we often hesitate with given the repetitiveness and lack of new/exciting puzzles, but this was a pleasant surprise. Even though the room was fairly easy with no clues used, it flowed so well. A wand is often integrated here and there in magic themed rooms, but spell casting was done so cleverly and was an integral part of the game that didn’t seem forced. Given the sensitivity of the technology, there were also no tech hiccups.

I was excited to try this room based on previous reviews and it did not let us down. Decor was amazing and locks were appropriate for the theme. I was a little apprehensive at first because I like a good mix of regular locks and magnetic/techy locks but wasn’t expecting that in this room- I was pleasantly surprised- there was a great use of different mechanisms. Very linear flow- so while there is plenty of space to move around, not much to do for a larger crowd- we had 2 and felt it was a perfect amount of work for just us.
Horror Circus
Game Over Escape Rooms - Brandon

A new theme that you don’t see too often with an amazing set of rooms and decor. There were more surprises literally around every corner. A few jumps scares but nothing terribly scary. Linear flow so there’s not a whole lot to do for more than 2-3 people at a time.

This room very pleasantly surprised us- wasn’t sure what to expect based on the description and walking into the first room for the intro - it’s deceivingly simple and made me question if I was going to like this room. That all changed as the game went on- there was more and more to do in each room with surprises around every corner. There were some new and innovative puzzles that I’d never seen before - lots of interactive problem solving. There was a good mix of regular locks and magnetic mechanisms that kept you on your toes as to what would happen next. Lots to do for 2 people but definitely doable. Linear game flow but can work on more than one puzzle at the same time so my partner and I could split up and come back together. There’s certain parts that required teamwork too. Loved this room and excited to try the rest!
Puppet Heist: The Hand Of Life
The Bureau Adventure Games
Escape room

Fun and cute theming. Very linear storyline that you are guided through. Large space and great decorating. Nothing was too much of a logical leap. A minor downside for my personal taste is that it felt more like a task based game rather than finding and solving puzzles more organically
