The Missing SeasonSteal and EscapeEscape roomIRLthis was the room i chose for my 50th escape room, and i couldn't be happier. i've done multiple of their rooms (personally i love the neighbor) because they're all so immersive, and this one didn't disappoint!! we had a team of 3 and it was perfect!!
DaVinci ChallengeLara’s Labyrinth - San Diego [prev. Quest Room]Escape roomIRLThe game itself was good, but the background audio was too loud to hear any audio cues. We ended up spending over 30 minutes overthinking and redoing puzzles we already figured out because we couldn't tell something happened. There was one puzzle in particular that wasn't reset properly, and we spent a lot of time trying to figure it out and asking for hints. We even asked if the puzzle had already done what it was supposed to do with no response, just to find out it was open from the beginning. It was a good concept and there were puzzles I really liked, and our GM was really nice, but it was a very frustrating experience.
AmnesiaPuzzle Effect - PhoenixEscape roomIRLthis room was enjoyable with puzzle that were intuitive for the most part. the only thing that was a little frustrating was spending over 10 minutes on the last puzzle before getting a hint, even though we had asked for one before that point. overall it was a fun experience! would not recommend for those who are deaf/hard of hearing and those who have trouble with determining smells.
ChinatownQuicksand Escape GamesEscape roomIRLthis room was so much fun!! the puzzles are really clever and the atmosphere is immersive. we ended up getting on the leaderboard with 29:49 leftover!! i really recommend doing this room if you get the chance!!
The ReelPuzzle Effect - San Luis ObispoEscape roomIRLmy family and i stopped in slo on our drive up to monterey, and decided to do an escape room while here. the reel is such a cute room, and has some unique and clever puzzles! our GM patrick was amazing and was super welcoming! we escaped with over 20 minutes remaining, and plan on coming back to do some of their other rooms. i would highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!
Whodunit?Crack The Code - Tinley ParkEscape roomIRLi did this with my aunt, and it was so much fun!! the game is linear, and it's pretty easy to follow what order the puzzles are in, which i loved! i'm a huge fan of the game clue, and this game fit those vibes perfectly! i'd highly recommend doing this room if you're in the area!!
That 90s RoomMission: EscapeEscape roomIRLi will definitely have to come back next time i'm in the area! my aunt and i were so close to escaping, which i think was good for having only 2. the atmosphere of the room was very on theme, and if we had about another minute, i'm sure we would've made it out!!
