Dead Zone - CLOSEDTrapped Escape GameEscape roomIRLThis was our favorite room at Trapped. The ambience was just creepy enough to be interesting without being overwhelming. The puzzle flow was fun and there were some puzzles that we had never seen before in over 70+ rooms. The room lacked some polish in the elements (exposed wiring and sensors for some puzzles), but puzzle and logic flow is more important (to us) than the production value so we still ranked this room very highly.
AlcatrazTrapped Escape GameEscape roomIRLWe enjoyed this room. It wasn’t overly mechanized but that fits with the theme. There were some puzzles I have never seen in over 70 rooms which I appreciated and there was cool decor that was themed appropriately but isn’t as common in other rooms with a similar theme. Overall we liked this room.
AsylumTrapped Escape GameEscape roomIRLThis was our least favorite room at Trapped but I still recommend it. The puzzles were fun but not overly inventive. It felt like a good Gen 1 game to me. There wasn’t a huge amount of technology involved, but that worked for this room in my opinion.
Haunted CabinTrapped Escape GameEscape roomIRLOverall I liked this room. The games are NOT private though (you can pay more for private but in our case it would have required paying more than double the cost per room). The rooms don’t have the same finished, polished quality that some of the bigger named places have but their puzzles were fun and their rooms were neat and well decorated. This was one of their smaller rooms and wasn’t our favorite but it wasn’t our least favorite either. We still recommend checking this one out!
Captured - CLOSEDTrapped Escape GameEscape roomIRLThis was a middle tier room for us. We were paired up with a family of 4 who were very nice) who hadn’t done a lot of escape rooms so we felt like we had to hang back and let them do things. Ultimately we all worked together well but the room would have been more of a challenge for us had they not been with us. The puzzles mostly flowed well but there were a couple that felt disjointed in my opinion. I liked the set design, it had some cool elements that I haven’t seen in a lot of other rooms with the same type of theme. That being said there were some elements that could have been way better if the prop design was more polished.
