We were already completely blown away by the game "The Legend of the Heartless Pirate." Our expectations were correspondingly high. However, what the developer has created here with their latest game (Metropolis 2099) is yet another step up. A breathtaking setting and incredibly impressive effects. Over 70 computers were built into the game, which is absolutely impressive. After the game, we were at a loss for words and had to take a moment to collect ourselves. Even now, a few hours later, it’s still very hard to find the right words. We would go so far as to say that this is the best game we’ve ever played in Germany! Even a week after opening, we had an incredibly smooth experience and couldn’t detect any teething issues. This game belongs in the Champions League!

There are escape rooms you play simply to solve puzzles. And then there are experiences that completely consume you, send your heart racing, and stay with you deep down for days afterward. "Lost" by Dream Labs in Bad Steben definitely falls into the latter category. It is no ordinary game—it is a highly emotional, cinematic psychological journey that brilliantly blurs the lines between reality and fiction. The moment you step into the room, it becomes clear that Dream Labs has created a Hollywood-caliber set. The attention to detail is absolutely breathtaking—and deeply intimidating at the same time. The lighting design plays perfectly with shadow and darkness, while the sound design gives you constant goosebumps. Every creak, every muffled heartbeat in the background, and the skillful use of silence create a palpable, almost physical sense of dread. What makes "Lost" so special is its narrative depth. The story isn't just told in passing via written notes; it comes alive. It unfolds organically through the space and the dynamics of the game itself. The room taps into primal fears without resorting to cheap jump scares. It is the fear of the unknown, the sense of disorientation, and the emotional weight of the story that completely captivate you. The puzzles are masterfully integrated into the setting; every task and mechanism feels like it belongs exactly in this place and to this story. "Lost" by Dream Labs in Bad Steben is a true masterpiece of immersive design. It shook me emotionally, thrilled me, and left a deep impression. Anyone who loves escape rooms that combine a profound, dark story with perfect set design and maximum immersion simply has to play this room. Huge kudos to the creators for this intense, unforgettable experience!

PRAY was the first game we played on our escape room trip to the Netherlands. The provider’s latest game really has it all. A captivating story with well-crafted puzzles, set against a backdrop that transported us away from reality for a while and completely drew us in. We found the puzzles to be quite straightforward and managed to complete the game without any hints. The actor created a certain amount of tension, but there was never any physical contact. This game is also well-suited for players who aren’t particularly comfortable with the horror genre, as it’s more of a “mild” horror experience. A must-play game!

"Le Taxidermiste" is no ordinary escape room. It is a masterful, 90-minute immersive theatrical experience that unfolds deep underground and left us completely speechless. It all begins innocuously enough on the surface, inside a beautifully designed, nostalgic bookshop. But the façade quickly crumbles. Our mission: to descend 30 meters beneath the cobblestones of Paris into the notorious, gloomy "City of Martyrs." We go undercover as ordinary customers entering the shop of Martin Joly—the infamous taxidermist of the underworld. The goal? To unravel the mystery behind the disappearance of Adèle, the governor's daughter. What sets "Le Taxidermiste" apart so masterfully from other rooms is its focus on storytelling. Deep Inside calls it a "Story Room"—and that hits the nail on the head. Classic mechanisms like number locks give way to clever, organic tasks that blend seamlessly into the taxidermist's macabre reality. The emotional rollercoaster is driven primarily by sensational acting and cinematic lighting and sound effects. Interactions with the characters are intense and intimate, sending shivers down your spine. Tension in the room mounts steadily. The music—composed like that of a Hollywood psychological thriller—relentlessly sends your pulse racing. It is no surprise that "Le Taxidermiste" has swept top honors at the global TERPECA Awards and the Escape Game Awards; it is a true work of immersive art. Anyone traveling to Paris in search of the perfect blend of thrills, cinematic atmosphere, and emotional depth simply must descend into the City of Martyrs.

We finally got the chance to play "Prestige" at Finest Escape in Nuremberg—a room we had been looking forward to for a long time. The set is incredibly detailed, beautifully designed, and perfectly captures a magical theatrical atmosphere; we felt transported to another world right away. The live acting is the absolute highlight of the room. Interactions with the talented actor were incredibly intense and utterly convincing. I want to give a huge shout-out to our actress here—it was truly top-notch! The tasks are creative and drive the story forward, leaning more towards tactile challenges combined with some logic puzzles. Anyone who loves the perfect blend of gripping theater, magic, and clever puzzles simply shouldn't miss this highlight in Nuremberg! Highly recommended!
