The MansionExit Strategy - NorthEscape roomIRLThe customer service and game guide introduction was a standout for this room! The atmosphere was really immersive. The puzzles were pretty linear with traditional combo locks and lots of searching/tossing the room. There are some twists that gave my group a laugh! We found the puzzles to be all very intuitive and a bit easy for our experienced group (I think we set the monthly record), but overall, this was a really fun experience. We were even a little disappointed when it was over so quickly.
The RuinsExit Strategy - NorthEscape roomIRLThe atmosphere and set design were standout in this high-tech room. The puzzles were really physical and visual. It was dark, but we were given flashlights and we didn't have to read much, so it was fine and added to the immersive experience. Some of the puzzles were not intuitive and we used several hints to get out in time. There was a lot of loud music and the game relies on a digital "you solved it!" indicator for many main puzzles; otherwise it's a little hard to tell if you're making progress. The voiceover at the beginning was also a bit difficult to understand and would benefit from some kind of subtitles, even if that took away from the immersion. Overall, we had a great experience and got out in the nick of time!
Temple of the SkullGame Over Escape Rooms - AtlantaEscape roomIRLThis was a great experience for my group of 3 friends! We wanted to try the most challenging room at Game Over, and this did not disappoint. We got a few hints along the way and finished in 56 minutes. The puzzles were highly visual and tactile, requiring no English reading ability and only 1 traditional combination lock. The atmosphere and set design was great! A few of the puzzles were especially challenging and not intuitive for our group, but the game guide was great at paying attention and offering just the right vagueness of hints. The best part for us was that the puzzles were entirely in series--there was only one actively solvable part at a time, so our group went around together and took turns figuring them out. Nobody got lost, and we all felt involved and had a great time! As few as 2 people could physically do this room together. But a large group of people would probably end up with a few frustrated non-contributors unless you explicitly take turns.
