8 escape rooms
This was a great experience for my group of 3 friends! We wanted to try the most challenging room at Game Over, and this did not disappoint. We got a few hints along the way and finished in 56 minutes. The puzzles were highly visual and tactile, requiring no English reading ability and only 1 traditional combination lock. The atmosphere and set design was great! A few of the puzzles were especially challenging and not intuitive for our group, but the game guide was great at paying attention and offering just the right vagueness of hints. The best part for us was that the puzzles were entirely in series--there was only one actively solvable part at a time, so our group went around together and took turns figuring them out. Nobody got lost, and we all felt involved and had a great time! As few as 2 people could physically do this room together. But a large group of people would probably end up with a few frustrated non-contributors unless you explicitly take turns.
Gameplay
Linear puzzles, one at a time. Mostly magnet-operated, high tech puzzles, not combination locks. English reading ability is not necessary in this room.

Story
A stereotypical "find the relic in the jungle temple" plot

Game tech
High tech
We had a game guide who was watching us and could provide manual hints, but due to the electronic and linear nature of all the puzzles, there was also an "in-universe" hint system where an actor provided vague information on the puzzle it knew was next.
Ideal number of players
3
We did it with 3 and I think that was an excellent number. The rooms weren't too large, and the puzzles were linear, meaning it was only solving one at a time in series. No multitasking. It was good to have a few hands and minds on deck, but too many people and I worry that some would feel like they aren't contributing.
Scary
Not scary
A few fake skeletons and skulls added to the atmosphere, but nothing very scary.
