As an escape room enthusiast it was incredible learning how to just move with the flow of the story and not think so hard about puzzles, not everything needs to be analyzed under a microscope. They let you take your time, and if the GM is calling to nudge you forward, they do it completely in character and you don’t realize what they’re even doing when they call. They’re more of a companion than someone running the room. The point here is to listen to Josie’s journey and essentially wander through her memories under the guise of a storage unit. Doing this in a group of 2 as the only people in the building late at night other than our GM was part of the experience, it allowed us to take our time and let go, let the boxes and tapes guide our way. The very last room is overwhelming, depending on the mood you are in after the main room itself, this last one can be beautiful or heartbreaking. I could have spent an hour in that room alone. There is some sensitive subject matter that is warned about ahead of time and puts a very true depth into this story that may or may not be real. It takes up space in my mind and heart and I don’t really care if it’s real or fake because I felt every second of it, Hatch did an amazing job at this that I’ve not seen anywhere else ever. Highly recommended for small groups with open hearts.
