Crazy Train: The Ballad of Skeemin' Plotz

The set is so cute. It is like a 2D black and white story book. The game flowed well and the puzzles were fun!

What a bizarre totally awesome room. It’s so incredibly unique. It’s really hard to explain it without having played it yourself. You won’t find anything like it (probably in the world). The experience itself isn’t large (definitely way smaller than Spoopy Bones), but it accomplishes a lot with little. I enjoyed the puzzles a lot, although you could argue one of the last puzzles was a little repetitive. There are many rooms in Orlando that are worth traveling for, and this is one of them.

Ah-maze-ing room. It exceeds the expectation. The vibe, the uniqueness of the puzzles connecting to the story, blending tried and true and new for puzzles; just a great time. We finished with two people and think they gave us a few extra minutes. Great place, great people and we cannot wait to get back to try all the rooms.

Crazy Train is a zany misadventure through a cartoon train track! What starts as a crazy premise delivers a strong 1-2 punch. Well designed and polished gameplay and wondrously wacky puzzles that flowed well and encouraged teamwork. Crazy Train gave us reason to revisit set pieces and opened up cars beautifully. A boss battle at the end was the true test of teamwork. We played with 4, and 2-4 would work well. Not for everybody, and definitely a nonstandard room. Play this for something different, if you have a smaller group and for the boss battle.

The set design and theming really elevated this room above the other escape rooms we’ve tried around the area. I appreciate the linearity and flow of puzzles. There were clear story objectives set at each part that then leads to the final task, making each puzzle have a logical progression and all contributing to the overarching story. Unlike Spoopy Bones, the theme and story are intertwined nicely throughout, making the experience cohesive and like we’re really on a train and we’re really training raptor riders! Some areas of improvement: certain puzzles were quite tedious and repetitive, and the final puzzle also appeared to not require all elements to be used to work properly (we forgot to switch some things and it still worked fine?). It appears Doldrick’s has a strong emphasis on making kid-friendly, “goofy” themed rooms with stories that are meant to be humorous/satrical. While these aren’t the type of rooms that we love, this one was still very enjoyable and fun to be in.

What an ingenious way to use a long skinny room space!! This game was fast, funny, and an absolute delight. We laughed so much, solved unique puzzles, and lived out our comic book hero dreams (and happily ever after). 100/10!

The intro video to this room was by far the best one I have ever seen. Intro videos normally annoy me. This one had me laughing the entire time. The room itself was a ton of fun as well and very unique.

This is now one of my all time favorites. It’s just fun. And funny. I absolutely loved the gameplay - very unique and seamlessly pulled off.
