It was a really, really great game, and that's exactly why we went to Hamburg. And it was totally worth it

The first audio play escape room I ever played - liked the concept. Basically there is a narrator telling the story as you go along and hints are delivered the same way via audio. It does somehow raise a bit the feeling “oh, we needed a lot of hints” when the audio started again; but the game master afterwards said that this was just the usual recordings they play to narrate the story plus maybe 1-2 extra hints. The room had some elements and nice details I personally never saw anywhere else before which I of course liked a lot. The ending of the story was a bit illogical (and the game master also couldn’t answer the question of why it was designed this way) but maybe you just have to except that in a world of ghost hunters not everything is always 100% logical… ;)

The audio play really makes this experience something truly special. The setting is impressive. All the puzzles are very well integrated into the story, and we especially loved one of the room transitions. You can tell that the operators are set designers—the attention to detail is evident everywhere. It’s great that the Ernie Hudson room is open again, because it’s one of the top escape rooms in Germany.

This is a uniquely crafted and beautifully designed escape room. From the very beginning, players are drawn into a story that feels like reading a comic book or novel. The puzzles are well-integrated into the room, maintaining a clear progression that ensures you never spend too long searching for the next solution. The storyline is both entertaining and captivating, featuring several intriguing twists. The puzzles are moderately challenging and fit perfectly within the theme, enhancing the overall ambiance. This room stands out for its cohesive narrative and well-thought-out design, making it an engaging and memorable experience.

Less is sometimes more. Go in with a small group, the puzzles are very linear and you are following an audiobook whilst solving the case. Maximum 2 persons can interact with most of the contraptions so the others can only wait and maybe say a few words. When I played it quite a lot of technical difficulties actually made some stuff impossible to do and really frustrated us so by all means I never recommended this room. I have to say tho everyone else who plays this room loved it and so I started to think it may just be me who cant get along with this room.
