Soooo Good with a great narrative, spellbinding set and awesome gameplay.

We tackled this escape room as a group of three. The room was well designed and the concept with the audiobook is also interesting. Since the room is supposedly designed for 4-8 people, we had expected the puzzle density to be somewhat higher than in other rooms. Unfortunately, this was not the case. There were certainly some elaborate mechanisms and effects, but in our opinion the room itself is not suitable for larger groups, since there aren't many puzzles to solve at the same time. The room can also be completed with two or three people.

The first audio play escape room I ever played - liked the concept. Basically there is a narrator telling the story as you go along and hints are delivered the same way via audio. It does somehow raise a bit the feeling “oh, we needed a lot of hints” when the audio started again; but the game master afterwards said that this was just the usual recordings they play to narrate the story plus maybe 1-2 extra hints. The room had some elements and nice details I personally never saw anywhere else before which I of course liked a lot. The ending of the story was a bit illogical (and the game master also couldn’t answer the question of why it was designed this way) but maybe you just have to except that in a world of ghost hunters not everything is always 100% logical… ;)

The audio play really makes this experience something truly special. The setting is impressive. All the puzzles are very well integrated into the story, and we especially loved one of the room transitions. You can tell that the operators are set designers—the attention to detail is evident everywhere. It’s great that the Ernie Hudson room is open again, because it’s one of the top escape rooms in Germany.
