The Artist

Overall a fun room! We did this with 2 kids aged 10 an 13 and they were able to participate in lots of the puzzles. The room had plenty of puzzles and lots of locks. Charlie the GM was good.

Fun traditional room with a good mix of padlocks and tech, all wrapped in a cool theme that ensures every puzzle makes sense in the space. It is, however, starting to show its age, with some props and locks looking a little worn, and some tech mechanisms not activating at the right times.

The Artist is a solid traditional escape room with good puzzles and ideas. It didn’t have many “wow” moments and cool tech, but was overall a decent escape room. There were a few tech malfunctions and lack of sign posting, but since we are an experienced group, we were able to solve it pretty fast. We don’t like to boast, but out of the 1142 groups they’ve had, we are number 18.

6.5/10 Charlie our GM was an absolute thrill. Very helpful and gave us extra time. Not too impressed w the game itself. Average gameplay with some nice puzzle features.

I did The artist as a group of 2 but the game master (didn't catch his name) was playing along with the theme very nicely through his communication with us. The room itself was very thematic and the array of puzzles were fairly large! Definitely recommend!

Cool setup. Okay but not the best around. Probably the more enjoyable room out of the three in Expedition Gladesville.

Surprisingly-lovely room. Howard was a great gm, monitoring us on every step and stepping in to give tiny clues (in character!) to help us focus when we felt scattered. If you’re not a fan of clues, do ask them to give you less! That said, there is so much to do in this room, with some great design elements and a good mix of standard locks and more high-tech solutions. We managed to escape in time but probably would not have done it without the clues we got to speed us up. I liked that multiple puzzles were sometimes available, and also that multiple clues were sometimes given towards solving a particular puzzle. Will try to return for other games. Parking outside if you find some, otherwise you can drive in and there’s parking in the middle.
