Bros for Life: Fraternity Heist is another great room by The Escape Ventures and stands as a highly recommended experience. The high-quality set design establishes a thoroughly immersive and convincing frat house environment right from the start. The gameplay relies on excellent mechanical flow, featuring tactile puzzles that frequently require coordinated team communication to successfully navigate. What truly elevates this room is the top-quality execution of the narrative. The puzzles are cleverly designed to fit the lighthearted setting, and this is perfectly coupled with the Game Master's dedicated acting in accordance with the theme. This seamless blend of interactive roleplay, solid puzzle mechanics, and detailed environmental immersion makes for an incredibly cohesive, entertaining, and well-rounded visit.

Overall I enjoyed this room, although we had a couple issues. On the positive side, I’d say that the theming was unique and the idea for the story was fun! I also enjoyed the puzzles and found them to be challenging and novel. One negative we experienced was that one puzzle is supposed to be triggered by your GM once you’ve solved it, but our GM accidentally thought we had solved it when he wasn’t looking and triggered it early, accidentally robbing us of one puzzle. We had to have him explain the puzzle to us at the end because we didn’t understand what had happened. I don’t love when a solution requires a GM to manually trigger it for this very reason. The other thing that was unfortunate for us was that we asked our GM beforehand to not give us any nudges, but to ask us if we wanted one if we were getting behind on time in the room. Instead, he nudged us multiple times without asking. I had assumed this must be because we were running low on time in the room and falling behind schedule, however when we finished with more than 10 minutes left on the clock, I was a bit annoyed about the unnecessary nudging. One of the other GMs even came up to us afterwards and apologized for our GM giving us too many nudges because he knew our group had said we didn’t want that. All that being said, this is still a great room and I would recommend it. I am honestly a bit surprised it has been a TERPECA nominee/finalist for the past 6 years, as it didn’t blow me away like I would expect a TERPECA room to do. But still, I’d recommend it if you are in the area and have the time.

Fun and unique.

Customer service

Our GM was very friendly and did a great intro to the room. However, we had asked beforehand not to be given any nudges without confirmation that we wanted help, but were still given multiple nudges completely unprompted. I assumed that must have meant we were falling behind on the room, but then we ended with more than 10 minutes left, so I was a little frustrated that we were given so much unwanted help and didn’t get our full time in the room.

Was anything broken?

Yes

One of our puzzles had to be manually triggered by the GM and he improperly triggered it before we had solved it. Not sure if the manual trigger was a result of it being broken or if it was just poor design.

Of the 3 rooms our team of 3 did at this location, this one gave us the most trouble. We found ourselves down the wrong tracks few times and needed hints for things we missed. Had some cool puzzle elements, definitely a great theme and fun experience, but we preferred cornstalkers and the arctic adventure at this location, the former for the experience and the latter for the puzzle flow and theming.

The theme was pretty good!! I’ll recommend more than 2 people to help with the clues around the room! But Escape Venture are good to help you with clues if you need them and ask for it!!

First off, I want to thank CAM for being a great Chapter Prez. haha really got us in the vibe for the room! This was my final room at this location and it was a solid send off !! Honestly the vibe and theme of this room is great for the college Frat theme with some great interactive elements. I think only two puzzles really stumped me and I needed a hint. My only advice is to do this with a group because there are alotttttt of puzzles in this room ( or some tricky ones ) for the 60min and it probably was the only room here I felt I didn’t have enough time for… I did complete but just barely as the intro puzzles really got me !

An excellent game with a fully fleshed out story, faultless set pieces and props and many tasks/puzzles that give great solving gratification. If you can only play a couple of games at this location, you really can't go wrong with this one.

Ashley was an amazing game master! One of the best escape room experiences I’ve ever had. She knew exactly when to nudge us in the right direction and played the part of a fraternity brother so well. The room itself made it feel like you were actually following along in the story. Loved this place and room! We will be back next time we visit Orlando ☺️ If you’re an avid escape roomer then this is a must try!

This escape room was so fun! The characters that the game guides have to play are hilarious and they really make up the entire experience. The room was set up amazing and the settings at the escape ventures never disappoint. The puzzles flowed amazing in which I felt like I wasn’t having to go back and forth between rooms or different areas to find something else and the story flowed so seemingly perfect that I got super involved. I highly recommend this room if you’re a scaredy cat and not ready for the escape ventures intense rooms yet.

Gameplay

The story flowed amazing for a escape room. the characters that game master had to play as well were hilarious and they really made me get very involved into the room. By far one of the most entertaining rooms I’ve ever done.

Atmosphere

These rooms at escape ventures are by far my favorite settings, they are fully set up from floor to ceiling and everything looks so good together.

Customer service

Felix was hilarious and by far one of my favorite game guides I’ve ever had.

Difficulty

Medium

It’s not the hardest room I’ve ever done, the locks and puzzles perfectly flowed together and made complete sense, there was a point in the beginning where I struggled with though.
