Curio

My friend and I were excited to play Curio after hearing so many positive things about it. We had managed to figure out what the main gimmick of the room was before arriving but even knowing this we were still impressed! It's very cool to experience. This room also managed to make us feel particularly smart at points. I was a little worried about not finishing in time with 2 people, especially after hearing about Curio's difficulty. However the puzzles did click for us and (minus a few silly errors where we did not notice small details) we absolutely smashed it in 47 mins! Thanks to Ella who was a lovely host! Everything was perfectly triggered and explained, especially considering the room's complexity. She was also super friendly and great to talk to after :D

Incredible room, a must do - so unique and brilliantly designed!

This is such a unique room, lots of detail and lots of content.

This room is unlike any that I have played. Such an intelligent use of space with innovative design. I really loved it. I wish the aesthetic of the room was as elevated as the game play. It’s a shame to have such a great room have such minimal effort into the visuals. That being said I was still very impressed.

Challenging room with interesting puzzles we hadn’t seen before and a unique set design that will blow your mind. Loads of fun!

Perhaps the room was slightly overhyped by other enthusiasts and a bit poorly aged / badly ran but we left this room a bit disappointed. The core element was still pretty special and unique, but it definitely felt like it needed a revamp

An ambitious and clever room but the puzzles within it didn't flow allowing for a very stop start and frustrating experience at times

Awesome room, 4th room we completed at this venue and our fave by far.

This is an amazing room, one of our top 10 favourites and we’ve done a fair few. We loved everything about it, the design is totally unique and still has us wondering, in awe, about some of it. Make sure to listen carefully at the briefing as this helps gameplay where some may have struggled but we just found the whole experience superb. It all made sense and many parts are really really clever. Loved every minute of this room and would say is a must play for anyone that has done over, say, 10 rooms. This venue has a dedicated host throughout your game so you are never overlooked and we found ours perfect, not over feeding even if we took a while which made our escape all the more satisfying.

A very well themed room, found the difficulty to be off the charts and the puzzles didn’t really flow. Additionally one puzzle in particular was definitely made with at least 4 players in mind as for 2 players it was a big time waster. We got 2 hints in the full hour despite asking for more and asking for a hint to be repeated we were ignored both times. Our host just felt “off” with us from the start, and felt like they were not paying attention to us in the room! I’d like to finish off by saying that we did two rooms across two days here and our experience in the other room immaterium was much better.
