Rooms with actors in them are usually there to increase the tension, not here, at least not so much. Under the pretence of taking part in a series of clinical trials you are monitored by your 'doctor' until you get out of the initial area and realise whats going on. There may be the odd jump scare but that's not the focus of the room, they may help, they may hinder but this is not your typical experience. I imagine each GM who does this room has their own little spin on the character so you could possibly go through the room again and have a slightly different experience, even so this is one Panic Room's more interesting ideas.

10/10 Would recommend! Gave the exact feelings and reactions we were after! The GM/Live actor was incredible!! Twists and turns at each step to keep us on our toes! Loved it!
Brilliant room! Unexpected elements! Went in with high expectations…as always with the Panic Rooms at gravesend they didn’t disappoint! Wonderfully thought out!
Yes
Fantastic! Asked the GM to up the anti just so we were really in the deep end. Incredible! So unnerving! Made it hard to focus on the game but that’s all part and parcel! Just brilliant!

After The Sacrifice, we moved on to The Happy Institute and this was my first experience of a full length escape room. The live actor, Adam, was fantastic and scared the life out of a few of us. To be honest, it made me realise I don’t like live actor rooms as I get too scared to actually focus on the puzzles. I find that frustrating. Anyway, the theme was great and I liked the flow of puzzles.

Live actor games normally miss the mark for me but this one left me with such a smile on my face! Played as a group of 2 and had a great experience. Very creepy, it got a couple of screams out of us - but also a lot of laughs! A couple of puzzles stumped us but our incredible actor/GM kept finding fun and scary ways to make sure we never lost momentum.

“A game that has the potential to be amazing, but which instead ends up merely pretty good.“
