Sick setup. Puzzles are reasonably linear, so wouldn’t recommend more than a few people if you are an experienced player.

super awesome room and overall experience! i went in a group of 8, and i will say that i think that was just too many people for this room because there were times some of us were standing around. all of the puzzles took us a second but made complete sense. we didn’t use any hints, but did get a tiny assist on one of the puzzles. the mechanics of this room were INSANE, some of the best i’ve seen. i definitely recommend this room and plan to go back to this place!!
flowed very well!
set design & puzzles made the room very immersive

What an amazing set and immersive atmosphere! Loved the way the puzzles really fit the theme and how well the design helped you to feel like you were really in the subway. Fun location in general and very friendly GMs.

Our first time at this location. Easy parking (at the Aldi across the street) and a really neat old building. We really enjoyed pretty much every puzzle in this room and it had a SUPER neat experience that I've only experienced once or twice in a room, done to great effect. Highly recommend this room for sure!

This escape room was by far tue best scène construction (I've been to ones in the DMV as well) and it's amazing. The puzzles themselves are very innovative, though of course some also overlap with other 2nd Gen escape rooms. Nevertheless, this was a really fun afternoon activity, highly recommend.

You'd need somebody else with you fs with vision, otherwise you're fine.

It's in a beautiful old bank building, and the neighborhood is an old factory town as well.

The room was excellent and would have had a really high rating from me but the staff member introducing us to the room made it so I won't come back for another. I asked if there were any jump scares because I am easily startled and could urinate on myself and the staff member said "you want to know if there's jump scares?" I said yes, they leaned in slowly and then yelled at me to startle me. The adrenaline took over but once we left the room and I was in a safe place it all came crashing down and my weekend was spent recovering from that one stupid moment.
I asked if there were jump scares because I am easily scared and can urinate on myself and the employee purposefully scared me as a response. I always ask that question and have never had anyone respond so cruelly.

While not the most challenging room I’ve been in, the full immersion aspect is on point, and I had already left comments complementing Escape Room Pittsburghs aesthetic designs for Diamond Heist and Carnegie’s Millions. Subway Escape goes above and beyond from the well produced introduction video to a special effect that I haven’t seen in an escape room before, and that as a theatre tech absolutely love since I didn’t expect the effect and had to look around a bit to see the mechanism that did it. For some it’ll be like magic. In terms of puzzles, as mentioned, not the hardest to solve but enough to allow some non linear team work and parallel problem solving but some added difficulty keeping track of past things seen and what has and hasn’t been used. There were a couple glitches to the room that the game master noted, and who was attentively enough to recognize that we had triggered the solution to one but have us a nudge to find what didn’t open like it should have. Sounds like the company is always doing some internal review to keep the rooms working well. Can’t wait to be back in Pittsburgh and be able to try the last of their rooms!
