322 escape rooms
The Bunker by Escape Rush was the second stop on our mini escape room tour in Belgium. The introduction and environment were of really high quality, with excellent attention to detail. It’s no surprise this room was previously featured in Terpeca, as its atmosphere remains impressive even after eight years. However, the room does show its age, particularly in the puzzles. A couple of them malfunctioned, lights didn’t turn on, and keypads didn’t respond properly. Additionally, some puzzle clues felt random and lacked clear logic with many red hearings, which impacted the overall flow. A notable downside to Escape Rush as a whole is its operational structure, which seems focused on getting as many groups through as possible during the day. With a single shared entrance for all groups and strict adherence to time slots, the experience feels more like a business than a personalized adventure. Additionally, while the hosts were dressed in character as tailors, their engagement lacked depth and didn’t fully enhance the immersion. Despite these issues, the experience was still visually enjoyable, and it offers enough for both newbie and experienced players to have fun. I’d recommend playing their rooms in order of release to see the progression in quality. Worth a visit, but with tempered expectations regarding the puzzles.
