Pirates rule the shimmering waters of the Caribbean, and you and your scrappy crew are some of the best of the best. You'll sail anywhere; no ghost story or old legend is enough to scare you away from a chance at glory and gold. Your endless search for treasure has brought you to Dead Man's Cove, a place that many pirates claim lies between the worlds of the living and the dead. You've heard that an ethereal enemy lurks its murky waters, but there's no reward without a little risk...

While we didn’t “love” this experience, it was still a solid room with fun puzzles. Effort was clearly put into the set design and atmosphere, but we felt some puzzles were lacking or not clearly communicated. For the price point of two players, I certainly would have preferred to play during a non-peak time, but a fun experience nonetheless.

I had to leave this review when I saw the last one posted. This experience is awesome! Great use of space, great use of tech and the set is awesome. Fun clue delivery system that’s in theme. Puzzles are easy but enough to keep you engaged for an hour. We had a blast. I guess if you don’t make it out and don’t get your hand held and shown the rest of the experience then you cry and walk away from this company. (Last review) This company is so awesome and all the employees are super rad. Their sets are movie worthy and all are so much fun.

We travel around the country doing escape rooms. The sets of these rooms are well made but I don't have much else positive to say. A well made set will often lead an otherwise bad room to good reviews. The staff were just going through the motions and didn't even walk us through the other room we didn't finish. This pirate room is fairly easy but the flow and story make it weak. My group did 2 and decided to walk away from this company. Not for us

Escape House Austin continues to deliver. A great fun pirate themed room with some unique puzzles I’ve never seen before. A good mix of tech and mechanical triggers. There are a lot of obvious things that are easy to overlook which make it fun. No spoilers, but make sure to look EVERYWHERE on this ship for clues. Sweeping the room again a few times we always found something we overlooked.
If you like all things pirate this will be VERY fun
For a pirate themed room they nailed it. Effects were fun and pretty modern. Interactive puzzles
Raiden was the best game master. Friendly and made the experience fun and memorable.
Medium tech, medium mechanics, a good mix of both but not over the top on each.

Excellent pirate-themed room with a mix of physical locks and tech. Strong on story that was fun to play through and would work well for players of all skill levels. We loved our GM, Marie, who was friendly and helpful throughout!

Escape Hour Austin has some solid rooms, but Dead Man's Cove is a hidden treasure. We've played a lot of good pirate rooms and this is better than almost all of them. The set, the props, the theatrics, and the puzzles all make you feel like you're in a pirate movie.

Really fun pirate room, with lots of pirate-themed puzzles. Unlike many rooms (at other locations) that feel like they have a themed set, but generic puzzles, the puzzles in this room are all very appropriate to the pirate theme.

Escape Hour always delivers on professional escape rooms with clever puzzles and immersive experiences. This room delivered on both as expected. While this room was significantly easier than most rooms we’ve completed, we still had a great time! I highly recommend going in with no more than 4 people if you want to fully experience the puzzles. Highly recommend.

We did this room with 6 people and that was too many. We blazed through this room in 39 min and left most of our group feeling left out.

Very fun pirate room, wish I had more time to do some of the others. Guess I'll just have to come back. Little bit of search and find kept us from really getting started, but after that we crushed it.
Above average story integration.

This game had a very linear feel which led us to do one thing at a time. For a pirate game it was ok. Pirate games are hard to build out. There is a novel and unique idea inside the room which was fun but lost its novelty at the end when it didn’t work correctly. The GM didn’t keep track of us and was speaking up when we were struggling which was okay I guess but she was speaking up and telling us to do something we had already completed until she realized it. Other than that it was a fun game for a pirate game.
I don’t like pirate games because they are mainly all the same. This one was along those lines. It was fun with a unique element but it lost its novelty towards the end.
