A fun pirate-themed game that's more beginner-friendly. There are more locks and keys involved. I have "liked" and not "hearted" the experience because I was hoping we'd be finding hidden treasure and expecting a few more surprises. If you're looking for treasure-like objectives and many surprises, then their Crypt room is excellent! That being said, the overall objective was still fun and incorporated a thematic variety of puzzles. The game is non-linear at times. That is why a group of 3-4 would be ideal for this room. Be prepared for low ambient lighting and "interactive" projector visuals.
Fun gameplay, no doubt! But perhaps more "standard" and not as unique as their other rooms.
Thematic set design, sound effects, dimly lit areas.
We've been fortunate to have great GM's for our experiences at Escape Hour Austin. They are attentive, follow your game, and provide helpful nudges/clues as needed.

No
While I would have preferred a more treasure-hunt-esque plot, the story is kept moving with your progression.
We had already done a couple of challenging rooms earlier in the day and perhaps that's why we were able to "sail" through this room. Taking that into consideration, I'd say "medium".
While the game is not that difficult overall, there is some non-linearity involved that benefits from a group of 3-4 that can split up.
