We had done the previous version of this room when we had just begun escaping and it was so confusing and we did not even come close to escaping. We finally came back to this location after doing a bunch of other rooms in hopes of redemption since the room was changed up a bit. We did make it out - but this room was very much a test of patience. We had nothing to write with and at one point a puzzle gives an audio solution and then after a couple minutes doesn't repeat it at all. We had to have our GM come physically into the room to reset it so we could hear it again because we couldn't agree on what we had heard. Oh, and speaking of GM... We've never had to wait as much for help as we have here. We could hear the GM in the lobby just chatting with another group - nothing escape room related, but chatting about their day - while we were stuck on a puzzle and asking for help with no answer. The biggest puzzle that the room revolves around didn't even work properly - we needed help to get it to trigger finishing the room. I would not recommend this room at all.

There was a part that wasn’t working correctly and after 10 minutes of doing what we were supposed to there was nothing from the GM. We had to call the GM a couple of times for a hint(mentioning we don’t think it’s working), which was to do exactly what we were doing..then after calling out to them again they said we have to insert correctly after 20minutes the GM came in and said “like this” and then stopped and said “oh guess there is something wrong”

This room is just weird. It is like someone bought a bunch of props from a haunted house and tried to make an escape room. Nothing to take notes on but an easily/obvious puzzle gives a verbal clue not needed until much later in the game, the GM had to reset it so we could solve it again instead of just reminding us of the clue. One very large prop is just a red herring. Multiple connections/sensors had issues so we needed to double check them to trigger the next step. Looks and puzzles wise this is far better than a local mall escape room, but maintenance and quality there are just so many better places to go in the area.

This game was a downgrade of the previous game in the same space, The Contraption, which had a number of secondhand puzzles that didn’t function properly or work with the room’s theme. The addition of a couple puzzles and the removal of some of the broken props under a new name did not improve gameplay to the point where I would consider it a new game. I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but if I were a first timer to escape rooms and had this as my first experience, I would not wish to play any other games.
The same props as the previous game they had opened with, plus some new ones that were actually more broken than the ones that were removed. Didn’t feel cohesive as a theme, story was not an effective vehicle for the puzzles.
The game operator was belligerent and made clear that he wasn’t actually paying attention to the game, and made jokes about how he was actually just watching videos on his phone. Hints given were not relevant to gameplay.
