Escape the Darkest Hour: Torture Chamber

Spooky and fun! Definitely jumped a couple times but I don’t do or watch anything scary. Puzzles were challenging and unique. Love the theme.

This game was so much fun! This was my first escape room and my only horror themed room. I’m a scaredy cat and I was definitely jumping at the loud noises but honestly, there wasn’t many jump scares in this room. And no live actors (I wish I asked this because I was so scared they were gonna pop out). Truly, the gm made our game so personalized and fun and that was the best part!

Absolutely amazing game, we were visiting for the weekend and we play all four of their games, this one was by far one of my favorite. It was so immersive and it was pretty creepy. I would recommend this game to anybody!

The puzzles were difficult, but definitely manageable! Set design was awesome and staff were amazing. I was nervous to go to a horror themed room, but it wasn’t too scary to the point where I couldn’t focus on the puzzles.

Part of my group who normally don’t do scary rooms thought this room was scary, but compared to other rooms in OC, this one isn’t too bad. It is definitely dark and spooky and there were some loud noises. The room set was nice and the story flowed well and the puzzles were straightforward, just some were random and didn’t really fit in with the story.

First off just like the other reviews mention I am also a huge scaredy cat so this room had me on my toes the entire time! The room set up was amazing really felt like you were in a torture chamber and had you panicking about time with special surprises along the way. A group of 3 or 4 is recommended but at least have one person in your group that can handle the scariness so they can concentrate on getting the puzzles solved and not so much of getting scared! The puzzles itself weren’t difficult but when you are racing to get it done and it’s hard to see they become hard to solve. This is the room if you want to get your adrenaline pumping the whole time! It was a fun experience overall probably one of my top 3 favorite escape room!
