Someone in your crew has been talking to the Feds. The Mob Boss is being generous and giving you one hour to find the rat or you all will be swimming with the fishes. Can you find the rat in time, or do you need to be fitted for a pair of cement shoes?

We just really enjoy the layout of the games at Hourglass Escape Rooms in both Searcy, AR and Russellville, AR. There are lots of interesting puzzles and the games are linear, making them excellent for beginners. The Mob Boss had a number of fun puzzles that all supported the theme with a fun surprise at the end. The puzzles were diverse and we were able to move through them quickly with the experience that we brought into the room but they could have been more challenging for players without some specific interests and life experiences. The puzzles were also innovative and fun to solve. Great staff.
The game flowed very well. Hourglass Escape Rooms labels their locks chronologically so for most puzzles you know if you're looking for a 5-digit number, 4-letter word, etc., which keeps things flowing. It might make playing a little more challenging to not have that crutch. But this game did flow very well.
Very immersive. There was an open window into the game room while we were being briefed on it, and I wasn't sure if there was a side business inside this escape room or if it was part of one of the rooms. It fit the scenario perfectly.
Outstanding staff. She was very friendly and professional, and helped us get into the game quickly. All of her instructions were clear.

But it was fun.
Immersive, for what it was. And all of the puzzles supported the story.
Easy
Easy to medium. There were a couple of puzzles that might have been more challenging to solve without our fellow players having specific interest and/or life experiences. Those interests/experiences sped things up a little. The only clue we used was because we didn't look at the items we had available to us closely enough.
Mechanical
Some added tech that added to the fun.

We played with three. The room is relatively small and tightly confined.

Puzzles were very straightforward.
Yes
There was an item that I think they knew they are having problems with. Their system for calling for help is to ring a doorbell. She showed up within a few seconds with the items we should have received from one of the puzzles, along with the instructions for how they should have gotten to us (critical to solve the puzzle). It's unclear if they are watching. There are cameras throughout the rooms, but all of the clues are self-contained on an iPad. The broken item barely slowed us down at all with a quick response.

Not at all
The room is a little tight. There was one puzzle that was on a table top that might have been a little high.

There were a few parts of this room where the flow was off. But lots of environmental puzzles to solve, fun room decor. My biggest issue with the room was an early puzzle breaking on us and another one being placed in a needlessly obtuse way.

Not a hard room, but some of the puzzles just take a while, even after you’ve figured out how to do it. An early puzzle was broken for us, but we didn’t realize it was broken until we had wasted a lot of time on it. Our GM was quick to come in and fix the issue once we reached out, though. Would have benefitted from having a more active GM that could’ve told us it was broken before we spent a lot of time getting frustrated on it.
A bit disjointed at times and had some things you never used that I was excited about getting to use, so that was disappointing.
Again, fine. Some fun props but also some that weren’t used that it would’ve been cool if they used.

This is a linear room and the design of this room was really cool! My group enjoyed playing this room.
