As humanity has evolved over the centuries, so has our ability to fulfill possibly our most primal need: to play games. From thousand-year old games like Go and Mancala through today’s video and virtual-reality simulations, we have filled our free time with cards, boards, dice, and all manner of monsters to defeat. This time, the monsters are the games themselves. Can you play through the millennia of game history in under an hour, or will you be left staring at the two most dreaded words in history: GAME OVER?

Super fun! We had 6 people, which seemed about right for this room. Nothing too technical or specific skill required, although it is helpful to know some of the basics for classic games.

This still remains my favorite escape room I've ever experienced. The flow from 'game to game' works very well, and the final moments remain in my brain rent-free. Might be how close we came to failing the room, but I still have not had a final moment in a room like I did with The Evolution of Games. I would love to take so many friends there to experience it for themselves. I just need to get back to Wisconsin!

I wasn't sure what exactly to expect when it came to this room. I was pleasantly surprised when it came to the puzzles and how they all came together.
Really well coordinated going from old school to the knew games.

A non linear room that is perfect for groups! While some people can be working on one puzzle, others can be working on another puzzle. All of your favorite games growing up are most likely in this room too!

Unfortunatly we didnt escape this one :( This is interesting room for board game fans. Not linear at all, your group need to divide to finish all the puzzle. Overall good puzzles.

A very non-linear game, which is good for larger groups. You can definitely divide and conquer. Lots of locks though, but they are fun. Each puzzle is basically a mini-game of the board game its based off of, which is fun. We wasted a good chunk of time of 2 separate puzzles, one being somewhat physical and the other being somewhat confusing. We were apparently on the 2nd to last step to escape and we ran out of time. Kinda bummed we weren't allowed maybe one extra minute to finish, but I guess rules are rules. We even started before our time because we always show up early. I'm not marking them down for that, it was just more of a bummer than anything to be so close and not make it. Still a fun room.

Nothing was broken, but the game master did have to pause our time because when something unlocked, the parts that were revealed then fell down into a different still locked cabinet. Perhaps tightening up the locked cabinets so that the small pieces that fall out don't fall back behind another locked cabinet would help.

There's a dexterity puzzle that's quite involved and can waste a lot of time if you're not hand/eye coordinated.
