The Mystic's Lair

We completed this room second and felt the decor and composition of this room was better. It has some unique features and creative art pieces that we enjoyed. It's still fairly lock and key and I'd call it a Gen 1 room, but it's non-linear and 3-4 people could all find their own puzzles to work on. There are a couple items that could be clearer, or aligned better, to give better solve delivery. Overall we liked the room.

Great room with interesting puzzles and innovative game play and flair

Jamie was a great GM. He had a great handle on when and how to give us hints. The room isn't what you'd get at a big box franchiser, but it's an obvious labor of love created by someone who has a deep adoration for gaming, puzzles, and tinkering. The pace of play was awesome, there were some really original pizzle ideas, and it was pretty hard... halfway through we were SURE we wouldnt finish, and then it snowballed faster and faster until we escaped. Cool room! I would definitely try the other room here, and someone else in our group said "this reignited my interest in doing escape rooms!"

GM is almost another player they are so involved, but it never felt hand-holdy. His clues were more giving light direction than giving answers
