The Ritual Room

I like rooms where things make sense. And that was this room. Everything was working fine and in good order. Our group flew in and out in 35 minutes with no clues. So maybe a room better for 3-4 people. (We are 5 people.) I like the one puzzle a lot. I think the ending of the room could have been a bit better. Flew a little flat. GM Kitt is sweet and our group has done four rooms with her.

Most puzzles are straightforward. One felt unique and interesting (worth playing the room), one was annoying. The room was too dim to my liking.

Decent room with some fun puzzles. One in particular felt somewhat novel and exciting. A LOT of lockboxes without any real connection to the puzzles though. There were multiple four-number combo locks that at any given time could have been used for a different puzzle, so if we found a code we’d have to try a bunch of different locks. It’s not immersive and it’s kind of sloppy. This is a pet peeve of mine in a room.

Great host. Some cool puzzles that all functioned well. A couple very satisfying solves that I’ll remember for awhile. Overall fairly simple and not too much that needs to be solved. I’d say a good room for advanced beginners to experience some common puzzle types along with some novel ones. Would love for the puzzles to be more on-theme but I’m always dissatisfied on that front.

Good fun room. Decent creepy factor and game master was nice. Puzzles were good for the difficulty level. Would def check out the other rooms the company offers
