A pretty good room. Really enjoyed the 4 room vibe. A few things that were a little hard to see or hard to decipher because the prop was a little off.

Technically four rooms in one, Colosseum is a two-hour experience designed to make sure that you at least get to see every part of it. Each room has a hidden 30-minute timer, automatically prompting you to move to the next room if you don't complete the current one in time. Our GM explicitly explained this to us, so we were not caught off-guard. To expedite the game, we were also given an anachronistic iPad, which displayed the overall 120-minute timer and was also how we requested hints. The game was a great mix of unique puzzles, for better and for worse. There was not much cluing in the environment itself; there was no shame in going to the iPad over and over. The game also had audio (we didn't ask if they were on a timer) clues that would give crucial hints for puzzles. This turned out to be especially necessary in the second room.

We had a group of two and made it out. It is a 2 hour, progressive-style room with 30 minutes in each of four rooms. We were a walk in, so they started us a bit after our time. We hade it through the first room but then didn't finish the second room, but only because they pushed us through in less than 30 minutes, presumably to keep us on their schedule.

Gameplay

Progressive-style room. Felt cumbersome.

Atmosphere

Nothing special. Vacuform panels and basic props.

Customer service

When we finished the room, the final door opened but there was no signal or word for staff that let us know we finished. We had to go find someone to debrief.

It was cool, pretty darn fun considering the four different rooms. The β€œclue” system is very unique, in a great way. A wee bit rinky but not enough to deter away from the story and fun. Definitely a good time. 8/10 fun meter.

This room is also public and we were put in with another group and it was fun working with other people. The game is very linear and not too difficult to navigate and solve. Working together will definitely help you get through the game faster. I recommend if you want to do a longer escape room

Loved a 2hr adventure that actually needed the full time. The puzzles are well integrated, not a padlock in sight

The escape room was fun, our fist one that was over an hour. We finished each section within the allotted time and had about 25 to spare. The GM was really fun and made the experience more enjoyable. My only complaint is that there was a party of about 27 kids next door and we could hear screaming for an hour, which made it hard to concentrate. The puzzles were terrible difficult, but were fun.

Gameplay

It was fun, some puzzles relied on an audio cue.

This was a fun 2hr escape room! The puzzles were fun, there was a great variety, and something for everyone to work on. We were able to complete all rooms within the time frame, but I could see it being frustrating if you had to move to the next room before completing everything!

Recommend a larger group as this is a marathon since it is 4 separate rooms. Great theming though

There are four independent rooms that you must complete, with 2 hours overall to complete it. I wish that the whole was greater than the sum of its parts, but it really did feel like a sequence of "just-ok" rooms.
