Old Man Albert owns the mansion up on the hill. He enjoys spending time in his library, sipping on a glass of whiskey while reading a good book or even playing a game of chess. He makes his money running a lucrative business supplying alcohol to the local speakeasies. Over time, the Old Man has become paranoid, and is fearful he will get caught. He has made sure, that if anyone ever enters his mansion without his permission, they will never get out. He would even go as far as destroying everything he owns with the intruders inside. You have found yourself trapped in the library! Do you have what it takes to escape before Old Man Albert returns in 1 hour?

While we did not escape, the game master did take some time after our time ran out to show us the ending and how we would get the remaining puzzles. Very immersive and definitely required some thinking.
Packed full of surprises. Would love to elaborate but don’t want to ruin the experience.
Greeted as soon as we walked in the door.

Just the usual standing and walking around.

Escape May Overall: I have been going to Wildwood Crest / Cape May just about every year since I was a kid, so it thrills me that there is a really high quality escape room company in my favorite place on the Jersey Shore! This is truly a family operated business with the help of very close friends, and they are all incredibly warm and inventive and enthusiastic. Their rooms are very high quality, challenging, affordable, and inviting. I was not expecting as great an escape room experience as I was at Escape May This Room: Jason was our game master and he was FANTASTIC. He also coached us through their mini-escape room in the lobby (The Elevator) which was a fun diversion and a super neat idea that I haven’t seen in any rooms. I really liked the library! It had a really great reveal and finale. Puzzles were pretty challenging, but never unfairly. Personally I’d like the office-y walls to be decorated a bit more, but that’s minor in the grand scheme of an excellent room

After doing Frankenstein‘s monster at this location, we decided to do another row. And yet again, Jason the game master showed us a great time. This room does require a little thought, but we mastered the puzzles and only needed two clues. There are a couple of“linking” puzzles which might drive you mad, but it makes sense if you pay attention to the room you’re in. There’s a false ending which made me love it. When you get to the ending it has a nice surprise. Seriously stop reading and start booking.
