Holcomb’s Lost Gold

Probably the best escape room in Big Bear. Our groups was probably a bit too big but we had fun. I would recommend maybe 4 people; 5 tops. Really entertaining and fun set

The theming was cool in this one. The games weren’t crazy hard but fairly well concealed so that was a big part of the game.

The set design alone made this room a stand out. We had a group of 4 including my 90 year old grandfather. We all had a good time exploring for Holcomb’s Lost Gold and solving the puzzles. Great local historic theming and ties for the location in Big Bear.

A well themed and great escape room. Really fun challenges to solve. We had a group of 4 and that felt just right for the space. Everyone in the family was able to solve the challenges and we had a great time. Highly recommend.

Overall this game is fun and challenging. We did have one thing not work for us and our GM had to come in and fix it. Also we had to take our own photos which was kind of a pain.

The set was great and it was easy to follow. There were some distractors which I’m still unsure of whether I liked or not, but overall solid experience. My favorite thing was that there was only one key lock and one combination lock. It was my sisters first time and she really felt like she contributed which was great.

This was my first escape room, and it immediately got me hooked on escape rooms! Beautifully designed set and our game master did a wonderful job helping us throughout the game without taking away from the mental challenge.
