A few nights before Christmas, the city of Kansas was rocked by several cases of violent homicides taking place inside the city’s post office. The double murders have claimed the lives of 2 employees. The lack of clues and seemingly random killings have baffled investigators and the Special Crimes Unit was engaged to help. Being officers of the unit, you were assigned to crack this enigma before the killer’s next strike.

This room was challenging as a solo player. It had puzzles to solve as well as questions to determine the answers to based on the game masters introduction. It was hard to fully remember everything they had said, especially when typically rooms I have done will always have the pertinent information available in the room, not just verbal at the start. I felt there was at least one puzzle that was very difficult to follow the logic for and was hindered by Perspex that was scratched which limited vision to read the chart behind it.
The usual breakout ordered puzzle system applied in this room so you at least knew what to work on. There were some puzzles however that relied on you remembering details that had only been passed on verbally which I feel adds a level of difficulty. Other puzzles required outside knowledge to understand how to solve them.
Props were ok but nothing special and with the way the clue system operates you definitely can’t say it is immersive. There was a lot of information in this room as you are not just trying to escape but also to solve and find the answers to the questions asked by the game master at the start.
Staff are very helpful and quick to attend when called.
Mainly number and key locks with one or two mechanical sensor type puzzles.
