Your day trip around this beautiful tropical paradise has just been interrupted by an incoming storm. Your tour boat was tossed side to side until it broke into hundreds of pieces. You and your friends wash up on the beach of an isolated lagoon, with nothing but a dense jungle, and a small fishing shack. The storm seems to be getting worse, and the water is rising fast! Seeking shelter from the storm, you enter the structure and are now tasked with figuring out a way off this beach and signal rescue crews before the storm worsens. At this rate, youβve only got a small amount of time before the storm washes you all out to sea!

Very lock heavy. However, the room was still fun. I appreciated how clean cut and well built the room is.
No crazy hiccups and flowed well. VERY lock heavy.
Nicely themed. Well made.
Some of the staffing here could be a little more cheery, but our GM was great.
Yes
A couple creative puzzles that went with the theme, but nothing extraordinary.
I canβt even remember what it was. BAHAHA

A bit of both.

Room is pretty dim. Colorblind will have a couple issues. Hearing impaired should be fine. Wheelchair accessible, but not a super roomy place.

Itβs part of a outdoor complex, so keep that in mind

Shipwrecked scavenger hunt and the perfect number of puzzles. Polished set design, zero red herrings, and puzzles the flow logically. Lighting is dim, so make sure at least one team member can see in low light. Non-linear flow, mix of physical locks and tech.

Fun quirky little room. Great thematic decor and good puzzle flow. I'd definitely recommend it to someone playing games on the west side of town.

This was a really fun room. Not too hard and not too easy. The theming was great, and the puzzles were fun. There were a lot of 1st Gen locks, but it didnβt take away from the experience.

Great room, super fun, not too intense, only 30% success rate according to the game masters. Was super nice to see west gate release new rooms!
Very nice, tad bit small

Had a wonderful experience playing this game. The puzzles were really fun and felt satisfying to complete. Most of the signaling was great! I would definitely recommend this game :)
I really enjoyed the puzzles here. Great signaling as well.
Wouldβve liked a little more light but everything looked great.

This room was really cool! Although not high tech at all (it reminded me of some of the more βold fashionedβ games Iβve played) the owners really made it work. All of the puzzles were well built, in theme, and encouraged cooperative teamwork. Nothing was too hard to figure out, but everything required us to be on our toes, thinking, and generally willing to be in it and have fun. For me, those are signs of a great escape room. Our game master, Jarod, was really nice and very helpful! We had so much fun in this room; our group was laughing and totally in it the whole time! Itβs fairly simple, but in its simplicity, itβs awesome.

Mechanical
SPOILER ALERT: The only thing that wasnβt my favorite aspect of this room is just how many physical locks there were. Although they were very well integrated into the game itself, and had fun puzzles to do along with them, it did get a little bit repetitive. This isnβt a reflection on the quality of the room at all, just a personal preference.

Review is based upon a beta test play, as well as a solo play. Stepping into Shipwreck I was very impressed at how immersive the space felt, and greatly enjoyed the attention to detail, something Iβve found Escape Westgate does incredibly well. An incredibly mechanical lock heavy room, but I found that the locks were fairly broken up with other tasking and I didnβt particularly find it tedious. Everything flowed well together, and I really enjoyed how straight forward the puzzles tended to be. I always look forward to my visits to Westgate, and canβt wait to play more of their rooms.
Found that it flowed well, and enjoyed working the whole space once it was opened up.
Love the team at Escape Westgate! Welcoming and sweet every time I've been.
Yes
Heavily lock based, which I found enjoyable, but could be frustrating to others.

Very mechanical lock heavy.

3-4 would be a good fit for this size space. Could fit up to 6 but may be crowded with that number.

Great room for kids, not a lot of surprise elements that could frighten, but would need adult help for some of the puzzles. Lots of searching the room which can be fun for kids.

Flat floor throughout, lots of reaching at different heights including searching on the floor. Some color puzzles, but those were also partnered with patterns, so solvable without full color.

Very easy to find with good signage and maps within the mall itself.

Lots of parking options for this location, however make sure to check ahead for events going on at the nearby stadium for possible parking restrictions.
