Unlock! Timeless Adventures: The Noside Show

The use of the cards was very creative in this one! One of my favorite unlock games so far

All of the puzzles in this game felt intuitive and satisfying. Other Unlock games have had moments of frustration because of the wild solution to the puzzles. The app wasn’t as interactive as some of their other experiences, but I don’t actually think thats a negative.

The circus is back in town! In app-based escape card game form! This Unlock! escape game incorporated several fun ways to utilize the deck of cards. The little booklet was particularly neat. The game felt weirdly uneven in terms of difficulty balance, though, like how some puzzles we would just cruise through, while others were illogical. I liked all the illusions and tricks, and the finale puzzles were fun, if not a bit tough to actually accomplish. The whole box of Timeless Adventures is solid, and this is a good part of it. Not my favorite box in the series, but the time travel one is definitely standout.

While a few puzzles may feel unfair, they don't significantly detract from the overall enjoyment of the game.

A box of 3 escape game decks. This set uses unique mechanics for each "room" with mixed results. I really enjoyed the Circus (until the final puzzle), and the other two were a fun time throughout.

This is a collection of three card-based escape games: The Noside Show, Arsène Lupin and the Great White Diamond, and Lost in the Time Warp. There is an accompanying app with additional elements. We had fun piecing these together, save for a few frustrating moments. Good fun for the pair of us.
