The "Es ist zurück!" escape room at The Code Agency in Düsseldorf is an incredibly immersive and thrilling experience. The room captures the eerie vibe of the "It" films without directly copying them, offering a unique take that still evokes the unsettling presence of creepy clowns. Despite having seen both films, I found new aspects to discover in the game, making it a fresh experience.
The attention to detail in the room is remarkable, creating a consistently creepy atmosphere that keeps you on edge. The sense of being watched and followed by the clown is heightened by strategically placed hints and elements in the room, adding to the tension and immersion. The puzzles are well-integrated, and the overall experience is both entertaining and chilling.
While the ending might feel a bit silly, the journey to get there is breathtaking and thoroughly enjoyable. This room is highly recommended for fans of horror games and Stephen King's works. It provides a good balance of scares and psychological tension, making it one of the best escape rooms I've played. However, it does require a bit of nerve, as it includes some genuinely scary moments.
