After only seeing a glimpse of the terrible world inside you are thrown back into reality. Vowing never to approach the game again you attempt to leave but the door has been locked trapping you in. Glancing over to the game you see the words “The dice have been rolled.” You have no choice but to complete the game or be trapped inside the other realm for eternity. Jungala is a great family friendly escape room. The room appropriately matches the theme. For the adults, it provides some nostalgia to a great film. The puzzles are logically linear but it's possible to accidentally "ask" for a hint for something you're not up to yet, possibly delaying you as you have information which won't make sense until you solve the previous puzzle (user error on QR codes). A great first experience for one of our relatives who is keen on solving more rooms.

Gameplay

The puzzles flowed well and gave plenty of opportunities for all members to participate.

Atmosphere

Fun props and which were very well placed to give maximum effect.

Customer service

Georgie was welcoming and provided answers to all our questions after the event.

Our family enjoyed this. 8 is probably the age where they won't be scared by any events as well as being able to wholly participate in the puzzles

Great theming and atmosphere, however a few props were a bit fake and thus breaking the immersion. Also, the flow was not as clear, indicated by a numbered QR code for the clues.

I did this room as a pair with my best friend who hasn't done many escape rooms before. We liked the jumanji theme. The puzzles were more traditional but there were some surprises along the way. This escape room mainly used an ipad and qr code system to give hints, and the hints had a 10 minute interval before you could scan another qr code for a hint. There was also a button in the room that you could use to call the game master to the room if you needed help (this had no time restriction). The overall difficulty of the game wasn't too long, although we did lose a fair bit of time on one puzzle which relied on colours. Due to the dim lighting in the room one of the colours looked like a different colour under the lighting, causing us to struggle with unlocking a lock despite knowing how to solve the problem. We thought we might be missing something but the hint that was given through the ipad was the same as what we were already doing to solve the puzzle so we had to call the game master for help. It took a couple minutes for her to reach us, which took up some more of our time. It was only after she came that she said what we thought was 'orange' was actually pink. If we hadn't spend so long on this puzzle we might have escaped, so we gave this feedback to them and apparently other people have had the same issue. That said, we were still allowed some overtime to complete the room and had lots of fun.
