This game was alright. It is definitely based on Stranger Things but it doesn’t require any prior knowledge of Stranger Things to be successful. The puzzles themselves are relatively simple but the connections in between puzzles aren’t always obvious. I felt as though the puzzles weren’t as exciting and involved as I would prefer. But I liked the way that the ending had a very clear objective and climax to the story!
This game was relatively linear and very doable with a party of 3. We didn’t always know what puzzle we were supposed to go to next (the connections weren’t always intuitive) so there were times that the gameplay lagged. The game master had to give us nudges in the right direction a couple of times because some of the flow lacked clarity.
The game was cute and made sense for the theme. None of the set dressing absolutely blew my mind but it was well-done enough to feel immersive.
The game master was kind and gave us nudges in the right direction when we needed it.
The game was different from other escape rooms I’ve done in the past BUT it was heavily based on stranger things. Considering this, I would say that the game was unique as an escape room but the plot itself was relatively familiar.
We didn’t realize it was Stranger Things themed when we booked it but the connection was apparent once in the room. Having watched Stranger Things, the room felt very on theme. That being said, it would not hinder your ability to complete the room if you haven’t seen Stranger Things. If you aren’t familiar with the show, you might just need to pay more attention to the plot so that you understand what is going on.
Medium
The puzzles themselves were relatively easy. Making connections between the puzzles and figuring out what to do next was much harder in my opinion.
There was a mix of physical locks and other means to unlock things. In my opinion, this room felt more mechanical than high tech.
3
3-4 would be an ideal amount for this game.
Spooky
Somewhere between not scary and spooky. There aren’t really any jump scares so any adult should be fine in this room. Younger participants may be intimidated by the latter half of the room.
10
On the condition that the kid visiting isn’t easily creeped out.

Not at all
A couple of puzzles required getting closer to the ground so at least 1 or 2 members of your party should be comfortable kneeling.
As long as 1-2 people in your party can kneel and get into smaller spaces, the room should be relatively accessible for participants with mobility restrictions (noting that some areas are still narrow and/or cramped). Additionally, one puzzle utilized color and another puzzle utilized sound.
