Montauk Project

Pretty cool immersive homage to Stranger Things. There are some things I haven't seen before despite doing so many rooms. I still don't love that the GM has to trigger the unlocking for some of the puzzles, but this room didn't feel like it had a lot of those moments like Ghost Light.

Subtle nods to Stranger Things. Good little room. There's plenty to do, some physical puzzles, and some fair collaboration required. A few puzzles are quite clever.

This is the best Stranger Things room I've done (of two or three) with some fun puzzles, including one that, let's say, really ate. (Sorry, Casey, you were totally right.) Good solid room.

nods to stranger things. Puzzles were ok, flow was linear, set design was not bad, it was a fun room overall. nothing particularly game changing though

Nice variety of puzzles and mystery theme. Not too difficult with two experienced players. Game master Jen was great, we only needed one hint. If you're only doing one room at Myss Tic I recommend Ghost Light, but Montauk still better than some independent rooms I've done.

So much fun! This room was so well designed and the puzzles were really fun. One of if not the best escape room in the nyc area. My team of two got out in 40 mins. We are pretty experienced so this room could be tougher for those with less experience but we would rate it as easy. It really stays on theme and fun for kids too. Definitely a must do in nyc

So so so much fun! Especially if you are a fan of Stranger Things or grew up in the 80s, so much of this room will be pure magic. It was challenging in all the best ways and had multiple reveals that I have never seen before. My group left bubbling and talking over the gameplay for hours. "Eleven" out of ten. :)

This game was so much fun. Had a cute Stranger Things theme.

8.1/10 Myss Tic Escape rooms have done it again creating an incredible set with puzzles that go so well with the theme and each room. There are some “stranger things” here that you wouldn’t usually do in other escape rooms, but thank goodness one of us was on top of their game to catch on to these very unique tasks! After playing 87 rooms, whenever we get to experience something new in an escape room, we absolutely love it, and there were a couple puzzles here that we have never done or seen before. There were a couple things that were broken and very worn out, to the point where our game master had to tell us during the game that something triggered but didn’t open because it is broken. The final room we felt was a bit underwhelming and they could have done a lot more with it. We still absolutely loved the Montauk Project and cannot recommend Myss Tic as a company enough!

This was a pretty solid escape room. Set design and story was very interesting. The vibe in there was very creepy and odd, but definitely worth a visit. If you have time for only one escape room at Myss Tic, I would definitely do Ghost Light over this one. But still very good!
