This was a pretty solid escape room. Set design and story was very interesting. The vibe in there was very creepy and odd, but definitely worth a visit. If you have time for only one escape room at Myss Tic, I would definitely do Ghost Light over this one. But still very good!

A very good room, had some really intuitive and unique puzzles. The game starts off slow and atmospheric, but finishes strong. There isn't much story too this room, aside from its stranger things inspiration. If you're only able to play one room at this location, I'd recommend Ghost Light, but this one is very good as well.

For the price, I expected more. The set was exciting but the puzzles were not novel. Most of them worked as they should, but a handful didn’t. We escaped with ample time, when I’d expected much more to be done.

Absolutely loved the set, atmosphere and game in general. The puzzles were linear and not too difficult. The whole game was incredibly fun. Stranger Things fans will adore it and people who have never seen it, will love it regardless. Our GM, Ben, was a delight. One of the best games in NYC hands down! Can’t wait to come back and play Ghost Light and their new game in January.

Great room with exciting reveals! I haven’t seen Stranger Things, which this room is inspired by, but I’m familiar with the concept. I loved the somewhat unsettling but fun 80s-themed house and all the nostalgic props. The puzzles felt logical and not too difficult, and I was impressed by the novelty of some of them. The final part was exciting! I’m sure fans of Stranger Things or even odder stuff will appreciate the references even more than me!

Fun room with an obvious Stranger Things theme, but if you don’t know the show it doesn’t matter apart from a few things perhaps being under-explained. Great set, solid puzzles, but very much on the easy side. I’d play with 2-3, take your time and appreciate the atmosphere and interactive elements of the set. Recommended unless you are an expert player who gets upset if you finish a room too quickly.
Good quality set with all the types of callbacks you would expect given the theme.
Yes
The set has a high degree of interactivity and the final scene gives lots of people things to do while using extremely appropriate technology.
Easy
My only real complaint: the game is very easy. Apart from getting stuck on one prop we would have been out in under 30 minutes (even with that we were out in under 35). The room is also moderately parallelizable so a larger group is kind of a disadvantage in the regard (you will finish even faster). Bring a small team and take your time to enjoy the atmosphere.

There is room for more people but I think 2-3 would be the most fun.
Spooky
Spooky in the way Stranger Things is spooky, but no jump scares or significant gore.

Another winner with this small business!!! Everything here had a reason for being a part of the game, the set is wildly immersive, and we had an absolute blast! A+!!!

10/10 I feel a little silly for not knowing what the 'Montauk Project' is/was, all I know was that Reddit said it was a must-go Escape Room while in Brooklyn, so we went! Boy was I in for a surprise. This room was themed so fantastically, every single room including the starting "outdoor" area was just phenomenal. All the puzzles were themed and nothing felt out of place or obvious particularly. It was a little creepy and spooky, but it absolutely floored us with its ingenuity. None of the puzzles felt unfair, and when they seemed difficult it was because we overlooked something on the way. If you are anywhere near this room on a trip or otherwise, make a stop. You will not regret it!
Puzzles were so much fun and hugely varied. This had some of the most interesting and clever implementations I've ever done.
Each room's set design, puzzles, and atmosphere were incredible. Everything felt natural and it really gave the feeling of coming into a room/experience that you had to escape from. It was foreboding and creepy and messy enough while maintaining clarity among puzzles and clues.

Absolutely. That's all you need to know.

Tough room! The most hints we've used as a duo on a single room I think at 3.
Mechanical
More mechanical I feel like, but there was a good amount of "high tech" that may not be obvious from the outside.

Scary
Not for the faint of heart for sure.

I wouldn't classify it as "broken" but there was a door we were told was a bit finicky, and it was tough to be sure we weren't actively breaking it.
