Escape room

A great Da Vinci Code themed escape room that we played with Ana's parents. 🥳

The first room was particularly entertaining, and with 4 different puzzle threads to follow, it's great for several players. Even with 4 people, we tackled the threads sequentially and it felt like everyone was contributing and having fun. Ana learned from all the previous escape rooms and was able to solve the tactile observation puzzle that usually stumps us!

Unfortunately, we were had by the fact that one of the threads lead to a cheeky switch that we thought was an on/off but was actually an on/on switch that revealed 2 locations. It took us ~30 minutes to figure out we have all 5 locations.

The second room was more linear and had fewer puzzles, including a numbers puzzle that we needed a hint for. You have to arrange the numbers 1 to 8 in a circle that already has  4 numbers in the middle. You have to figure out that the numbers in the middle indicate the sums of groups of 3 neighboring outer numbers (the hint for this should have been the number 19 which can only be formed as a sum of at least 3 numbers from 1 to 8). I hope to be in a better shape for the next math puzzle we encounter. 🥴

The room also features the most convoluted (and to be fair, spectacular) way to press a button I've seen in an escape room so far: light a match with a laser so that you can use it to burn a rope that releases a weight that presses the button 😵‍💫 Seeing that contraption for the first time is so confusing, but after you find the match everything falls into place in  your head.

We found this game to be both short and sweet. The story might not have been particularly involved, but the puzzles were really satisfying to complete and the game worked really well for to experience players. 
The two of you have the ending was unexpected and pretty fun
